Title: Mame not running.

Ok I have be running Mame for along time now and for some reason it stop running yesterday.  Mame and Mame32 give me the same responses.  In mame the screen is black and I can hear the game running but no picture.  In Mame32 when I run a game it doesnt show up on the screen.  Its running I can tell by going to the task manager but for some reason Im not getting any screen.  Do I have somehting running in my back ground possible?  I havent installed any new software.  Could it be something in my Registry? Could it be Direct X? What can I do?  Ive uninstalled both and have reinstalled them and its the same issue.   :banghead:   :cry:   :angry:

You may have picked up a little virus or two that is messing with your registry. Try running some up-to-date virus scanners and see if you can find anything.

If you are runnig xp try the system restore fuction . By rolling back to a date you know it worked.  ???

I am running XP I will have to try the restore.  I am kind of leaning that something is running in the background that shouldnt be.  I try the Virus scan first then the restore.

Anybody else have any ideas.

Reinstall the video driver?

ok...

Ran Virus Scan- Didnt help
Re-installed Direct x- Didnt help
Re-installed Video Drivers- Didnt help

Cant do system restore it was turned off  :banghead: (now its turned back on)

All other emulators work great just mame.  Mame and Mame32 both are still doing the same thing.

Anybody got anymore things to try?  I really dont want to have to reformat my PC and reinstall everything.

anybody?  Ive tried everything I can think of.  Please any ideas would be great.

So Mame is running but its running in the background.  When I run Mame32 its on the windows task bar at the bottom of the screen but when I click to expand it, it runs behind everything even my desktop.  And it is running I can hear it and see it on the Task Manager CPU useage.   

Im stuck.  Anything would help
