How well does a MAME game menu look on a small low res monitor like a Happ 13" Vision Pro + ArcadeVGA?
Would MAME32 work or would I need some other front end?
-
Use another front end.
Mame32 is great for just popping out a game on your home PC, but on a cab it is teh suck.

Try MAMEwah or ArcadeOS. You might also try a command line version of MAME, or AdvanceMAME for use on low res monitors.
-
ArcadeOS is *DOS ONLY*. Just be forewarned.
-
have used mamewah on monitors as small as 5" (psone screen) with no problems
-
try mamewah and adjust the layout to display what you need
use avres tool to automaticly display the game's correctly with the arcadevga
