Title: Low resolution monitors and MAME menus
Post by: Man-Machine on February 17, 2007, 01:55:50 am
How well does a MAME game menu look on a small low res monitor like a Happ 13" Vision Pro + ArcadeVGA?

Would MAME32 work or would I need some other front end?

Use another front end.

Mame32 is great for just popping out a game on your home PC, but on a cab it is teh suck.

Try MAMEwah or ArcadeOS.    You might also try a command line version of MAME, or AdvanceMAME for use on low res monitors.

ArcadeOS is *DOS ONLY*.  Just be forewarned.
