I'm setting up Atomic FE (which is nice by the way and highly recommend checking it out). After struggling a little bit I ended up back at Atomic's Site and downloaded the plug in play ARCADE MAME which is mame-nuss which is MAME32 PLUS which is version 0.102. I finally have everything I need working within this MAME but couldn't get a few of the roms to work no mater what I did. Especially Galaga. So, I ended up pulling up my older build of MAME32 (NOT THE PLUS) which is build 0.61.
Is it better to use MAME32 over MAME32 PLUS? Or are there advantages of the MAME32 PLUS. What is the difference? Also, I believe you can setup Atomic FE to use different versions of MAME32 for different ROMS. So, if you get 95% of your roms working within the latest version of MAME you can keep 5% of the nonworking roms in a older version that does work. I'm not 100% sure you need to do this and it might just be better leaving everything in the older version until you get the newer version to work.
I know my confusion is just a Newbe issue but thanks for any help.

In fact, the module you uses run a special build based on mame32 plus 0.102 .
In addition the module don't run mame32p , but mamep.exe which is the command line version. (it is better to use that one from external front end).
Now, if your galaga roms does not work , it is may be a question of romset version.
Did you use some tools like clrmame or romcenter to check (and correct) roms according to mame version?
You can of course say atomic to use a specific version of mame for a given game , but i think in your case you shouldn't need to do that.
If you didn't manage to fix your problem , send me your rom, i will check.
FYI, Atomic has a English forums for support. If you want you can use it to ask this kind of question. It will centralize all Atomic technical question. (can be found on forums of : http://www.ArcadeFever.net)

Thanks. I will send you my ROM to see what is wrong. I got it to work on the older version of MAME32 but not the newest version that I downloaded from Atomic's site. For the most part all of my ROMS seem to be working now for the most part.
Thanks again.
