HE is DA MAN!! It is still ticking, plus great the after care is gr8!!! :notworthy:
-
That's really a great value. $70 to have the chip plus all that work done for you is a bloody bargain. Ask Chad how many hours he recently spent learning how to mod an Xbox and then doing it himself and you will see just what a fantastic deal this is.
-
Dear Mr. Snaake,
I sent you a PM on this. . .
-
Snaake, can you tell me whether the duox2 chip (or any other modchip you know of) has VGA support for 1.6 Xboxes? From what I've been reading I'm guessing not but I thought I'd check with you as you seem to know a lot about Xbox mods.
Thanks in advance.

yeah it has VGA support. I actually dont know anything about "home made vga cable" but as far as I am concerned all duox2 chips for all version has vga enabled. IF not, I can always flash it with a VGA enabled bios. PM me a link to where you got your information from.
Dear Mr. Snaake,
I sent you a PM on this. . .
never got one ???
oh and thanks for the support guys  I am doing my best to provide the most professional mods !

Yep, if you don't want to have to learn all of the stuff involved, and definitely if you don't think you have the soldering skills, it's worth paying someone to do it right. If you're a newbie solderer this isn't the project you're looking for. There is enough learning curve in the XBMC installation and configuration for most people.

I've spent hours researching dozens of sites but unfortunately they're all saying the same thing - no VGA support yet for 1.6 Xboxes. However, here's the most recent info I could come up with on the subject.
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/lofiversion/index.php/t553930-50.html
It appears that 1.6 Xboxes use a proprietary video encoder (Xcalibur). M$ hasn't released any info on how to program it and attempts so far to reverse engineer it have failed.
My understanding is that the homemade cables do nothing more than re-create the VGA sync signals. The RGB signals are then made VGA compatible simply by reprogramming the video encoder. In theory this approach should produce better results than any external device that processes the RGB lines, even the device that you linked to.

What type of mod are you doing on the 360? 40 bucks sounds cheap
-
Just wanted to throw in a plug for Snake. He recently modded my Xbox with an EvoX chip, larger hard drive and dashboard install. It's working great, and I'm having a blast with it.
Thanks Snake!
-
good to know !
forgot to mention, the eject button disables the mod in case you ever need the default MS dasboard for xbox live or whatever.
What type of mod are you doing on the 360? 40 bucks sounds cheap
firmware mod just like everyone else. there really isnt any chip for the 360. so called chips are nothing but a piece of circuit board with different firmware in them. chips are designed for people that dont wanna do the firmware mod for whatever reason(its somewhat complicated and you need certain sata card or motherboard for certain drives and such)
-
Another thumbs up from me on Snaake's work as well........he's easy to work with and his work is excellent.

I am doing wii mods too if anyone interested
-
Check your pm.
-
didnt wanna make a new topic. bumping this as I already have some feedbacks in there. modding again. have time for emailz n stuffz...lol..
doing the new liteon mods with the wave3 compatible ix 1.6 mods for the 360.
samsung,hitachi,benq drives.
$40+shipping.
liteon
$50+shipping.
===================
dont really have wii anything in stock at the moment but if you really need something done then you can order a wiikey2 online and send me your system. or I will order the wiikey2 for you. wiikey2 is the best universal chip and works with all drive models(ALL!)
-
$50+shipping for liteon?
is that +shipping $50 and that includes the shipping cost or is that "you will have to add shipping on top"?
i do liteon for £25 here in uk and includes next day guaranteed delivery.
i think basicly that is more than most would pay here in uk for liteon drive flashing.
£20 all other drives and includes delivery cost also.
dont take offence, just adding my two cents worth.
:)
-
no offense taken. I am sure no one is sending their xbox to UK to save a buck or two.
its 50 PLUS shipping. take it or leave it. I am not walking all way to the post office with an xbox for anything less

If you rode a bike would the price be less? Say... $48 + shipping? ;D

someone stole my bike so 50 it is.............
I am not even kidding about the bike :banghead:

I am not even kidding about the bike :banghead:
That's messed up...
When I was in high school, I worked for the police dept. I would ride my bike to work, and chain my bike up to the chain link fence outside the precinct. Went to leave work one day... somebody stole my bike, right in front of the police station... :banghead: :banghead:
-
still doin things
liteon bumped down to 40+shipping and that includes the new "unmoddable" liteons(thread on xboxscene forums if you wanna read). these can be done(I did 2 already) but it just involves lot more work and testing than any other drives.
-
you fix 3 red rings? need mine fixed.
-
^ nah sorry man no red ring fix. I did those before but it was just more headace then I am willing to put up with. especially online with shipping cost from both sides its not worth the hassle. find someone local.
I am still doing things. even the new xboxes that requires trace cutting and soldering. newer xboxes are whatever made from aug2009 and later(9000 series). talking about this http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=698256 (http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=698256)

Hey Snaake,
I thought you might know this, but has anything been developed to rip and play games from the hdd on the 360? I was thinking of putting it in my cab.
-
snaaake, can you flash a 360 drive that got blanked? I tried to DOS boot it and use the DOS tools to reflash but no dice. I have the FW key and everything but I cannot get it to flash to save my life
-

Tried the latest Jungle Flasher?
Hey Snaake,

Only on an XBR or FreeBoot (JTAG modifications) can you rip and play hard drives from your 360.
-

lite on drive? yeah I can fix that as long as you have a clean dump. load the original firmware in jungle flasher and if doesnt give you any error then I can still do it. unless you somehow managed to kill the drive them you'd need a replacement but I highly doubt it because you cant just randomly kill the drive like that. pm sent.
and yes agree with the dude above. you can play games off hard drive with a jtagged xbox but I dont jtag yet. when I do I will let you know.
-
A quick note on JTAG'ing; you can play games off the hard drive, and also games, dlc, and xbla titles you download from the web (and that's as much detail as I'll ever go into here, promise), but you're giving up any ability to play on live, or even connect to live. This means no more updates, unless the mod itself gets updated.
-
ok I am ready to jtag xboxes now. as long as you have an older system with compatible dashboard. PM or post here if you have any questions.
-
would you be willing to find one me a xbox 360 if paid you for that and the jtag service(banned ones come pretty cheap)? I just want to be certain I get the right one. and what's the cost?
-
problem is these banned xboxes are usually updated with the new/unjtagable nxe dash.
IF I could get my hands on one Id want like 200 for a used and 250ish for a new one but doubt I will ever find a brand new sealed NOS.
I will keep you updated.
-
Slightly off topic, but what are JTAG-able Xbox's worth? I've got a pre-NXE banned box in my house that I hardly use.
-
Slightly off topic, but what are JTAG-able Xbox's worth? I've got a pre-NXE banned box in my house that I hardly use.
hard to say.. if 250 is for a new non-banned one, how much would a used banned one go for? I usually see banned ones go for 100 or less but I checked craigslists in LA and someone is actually trying to sell one for 250, that hasn't even been jtagged... but it is banned.
-
That's why I asked heh.
I really am just curious if being JTAG-able increases the value any compared to any other modded banned box. It's a secondary box for me, and I've really fallen completely out of the mod scene for 360 so was just curious.
Don't wanna clog up your thread tho SNAAAKE. If anyone has an idea, feel free to PM me.
-
well yeah jtag-able increases the value but it also depends on which model you have.
older non hdmi jtagable go for 150ish.
falcon and jasper with hdmi go for 200ish.
and BRAND NEW is lot more valuable in general because everyone wants a brand new one and preferably with better cooling system(IE jasper and falcon). like you can easily sell a brand new jasper jtagable for like 250-300.
I dont mind minor thread clogging lol.
-
sent you a PM peace :applaud:
-
nice
-
SNAAKE,
Are you still doing XBR JTAG's or the newer FreeBoot JTAG's?
Seeing how everyone is now using FreeBoot instead of XBR, especially since only FreeBoot has the Latest 9199 Dash and XBR development is all but dead.
FreeBoot with Dash Launch 1.0 and Freestyle 2.0 is the way to go.
-
I can do either. whatever requested by customer. same work for me. my personal xbox is xbr as I does everything I want.
-
still around. figured with the new LT+ 2.0 random people might need my services :burgerking:
-
What can you do with non J-tagable 360s?
-
Those don't currently exist. There has been a new jtag hack revealed, only a rebooter method needs to be developed. Soon enough, all 360s will be JTAG'able, just have patience.
-

I think his question was what can a "regular mod" do.
you can play your backups and keep the originals safe. thats about it for now. wait for the new glitchack dashboard if you want emulators and other homebrew stuff.
-
hacked dashboard for the new glitch will be out soon..sooner than 6 months. they are already working on something.
dont know about ps3 tho. thats probably never happening again.
-
gigglyboot(lol) dashboard for the reset-glitch is out :burgerking:
ggbuild on Fat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4HgXULxRhg#)
looks neat. now my little jtag xbox isnt so special. I am probably gonna get a brand new slim tomorrow for testing purpose. will bump my thread once I have things sorted out.
-
yeah, i would want more info on the glitched 360's. What's the reliability? How does it comapre to a jtag? What would be the cost to mod?

My Jtag is going strong, but I'm curious. What does this new glitch allow? Everything a Jtag can? Including playing any region games (for Jtag you still have to get the Jtag rip and patch them to get rid of the region restriction stuff)?
-
as far as I know(no hands on knowledge) RGH does everything a jtag xbox. this video shows how he's load finaburn emulator. so your jtag isnt special anymore lol
I think you should update your jtag by now with newest freeboot. email me your nand file and the cpu key. I will make an image for you and you can flash it from xell menu(when you start with eject button) with a usb flash drive.
yeah, i would want more info on the glitched 360's. What's the reliability? How does it comapre to a jtag? What would be the cost to mod?
same as jtag and now that the "door" is somewhat open, there will be more homebrew stuff. I dont know the cost yet. over $100 for sure including the glitchip and shipping. I will know more when I actually have these on me and how it all works out.
-
what's the reason for getting the newest freeboot?
I really only use the jtag to play import shooters. FBA didn't end up being as sweet as I had hoped because of the input lag. Also it's a PITA to navigate the FBA menus and exit games because of how I wired up my controls to just the face buttons.
-
The only changes to freeBoot, afaik, are to support different dashboard versions.
fbBuild is the project that replaced freeBOOT. I won't go into detail about the fbbuild.exe changes.
fbBuild v0.01 was the initial release, and they dubbed the kernel as "freeBOOT v0.04", and implemented msdash 12611, tweaked the freeBOOT exploit for both boot-speed and stability.
There was no "fbBuild v0.05".
fbBuild v0.030 was the first release dubbed as "freeBOOT v0.06", and implemented msdash 13146, and had various xell and freeBOOT bugfixes and patches.
fbBuild v0.031 had no significant changes beyond the fbBuild.exe, still used msdash 13146, and had NO freeBOOT kernel changes or fixes.
fbBuild v0.032 was the first release dubbed as "freeBOOT v0.07", and implemented msdash 13599, and had NO freeBOOT kernel changes or fixes.
fbBuild v0.033 was still dubbed as "freeBOOT v0.07", and implemented msdash 13604, with NO other changes aside from the kernel generation core (fbBuild.exe itself).
Ikari stopped his releases on v0.032, and below are the freeBOOT by Ikari changelogs:
v0.032 - 04-18-2010

Sorry to double-post, but I'd like to avoid cluttering up the other one more...
Maybe PBJ should retract his secondary bet as well...
http://www.ps3hax.net/2011/10/how-to-dump-the-ps3-per-console-key-released/ (http://www.ps3hax.net/2011/10/how-to-dump-the-ps3-per-console-key-released/)
As far as what RGH (cpu timing attack/reset glitch) can do compared to a JTAG, they now have identical functionality except the RGH can take varying amounts of time to boot. The JTAGs will always boot faster.
On the other hand, RGH will handle dual boot methods, whereas the JTAG relies on the efuses not to be burnt, is my understanding.

ooooh, a jtagged (or glitched, whatever) xbox 360 slim now that would be nice 8)
-
yet another successful xbox-surgery
successfully glitched a slim tonight. had a productive friday(lol). and here I thought regular jtagging was hard. this thing is probably the hardest mod ever. BUT it works. the "feeling" is great. being able to do stuff.. :burgerking:
anyway I will bump thread once I setup a price and manage to get my hands on some matrix glitcher. for now I might sell the slim I have working now. basically I bought this while back just for research purposes. wasnt really used much for gaming.

some questions
does glitching mean you can install freestyle dash and pretty much anything you can on a normal xbox 360?
and
How easy or hard would it be to update a glitched 360 compared to doing it on a normal jtag?
-
this thing is probably the hardest mod ever.
Wow. If it's harder than the soldering mod chips onto the original Xbox my hat's off to you. Cos that original Xbox had some tiny solder pads surrounded by traces like a millimeter away on either side.
-
^ nand points are still same as original xbox solder points. and some about half the size of those on the back of the motherboard. soldering wasnt even the hard part. these glitch chips are completely blank now and we gotta program it from ground up. all kinds of unnecessary headache.. :dizzy:

yes its same as jtag. now there is a hacked dashboard for the resethackglitch. it should load pretty much anything a normal jtag would. ran bunch of emulators last night all worked fine.
updating is mixed bag. I was able write the hacked dashboard from usb flash drive for the slim. but I did the same with a fat xbox and it didnt work. then I wrote the image with the nand flasher then it worked. this is for jasper fat xbox. I still have to see how it is for other chipsets. worse case scenario someone else has to update the dashboard for you.
-
:S I've done hundred of xb1 chips (not an exaggeration), they were cake... it's the ps2 chips that were hard...
-
Just a bump and a thanks to SNAAKE.
He's now completed 2 jtags for me. Fast reliable work.
Maybe I'll have him do a few of those impossible glitch hacks for me in the future.
I'd recommend him to anyone...
Thanks, again.
-
^ thanks
ok I am done with all the testing and and everything. I can start doing the RGH hacks. $120 includes the chip, installation, priority return shipping anywhere in the US. I will be using the "coolrunner" chip. if you provide a hard drive, I will install freestyle dashboard with dashlaunch. there are ways to boot whatever you want. like you can have a default dashboard and load whatever else by holding a certain button on the controller as you power up the console.
PM here or email customjoystick @ gmail.com
-
And the glitch hack works on all xbox 360 models? Even a new xbox 360? hmmmm

there is a slim motherboard called "corona" and that is not glitchable yet. but those are rare now. xboxes manufactured on oct/nov 2k11 probably has a corona inside(not the beer lol)
and xenon(non hdmi xbox) isnt glitchable. probably not a good idea even if it was possible. I dont wanna spend 120 on an old console that might randomly red ring for no apparent reason.
everything else is glitchable.
-
switched to xecuter coolrunner chips instead.
-
Sorry to highjack ur thread but as it's on the same subject - is there anyone in the UK that does this as I suspect it's just a bit too far and expensive to ship to snake!
-
well if you dont find anyone in the UK at all, I could just sell you a glitched system instead. that way you dont have to ship it to me and wait or whatever whatever. I shipped things everywhere before(joysticks and other random stuff)
-

http://www.microshack.co.uk (http://www.microshack.co.uk) have a good reputation
-
I like how its easier to install it on the slim than the phat. these random jaspers almost ALWAYS manage to waste my time.
so far Ive been very pleased with the slim xboxes. all of them worked first try and mine is so quiet I cant even tell its on :applaud:
-
Hey SNAAKE,
Has the new version of FreeBoot been released yet with the latest dashboard for JTAG/RGH consoles?
-
^ you can just take out the 2.5" sata drive from your hard drive case and stick it in the slim and everything you currently have on the drive will work. thats exactly how I have it. I had a phat jtag and currently using that same hard drive with my slim.
Hey SNAAKE,
Has the new version of FreeBoot been released yet with the latest dashboard for JTAG/RGH consoles?
yeah the new freeboot/gboot is out. personally I like freestyle because I can just make my own themes since I know photoshop too. I plan on making a MGS theme(DURR!) and maybe a street fighter theme too.

I think he's trying to buy a slim xbox for 89.99.......... :dunno
I saw used slims for 150ish tho. thats pretty good considering they are very solid and wont randomly die on you. check pawn shops or something. maybe even less on CL.

---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, sorry, man, didn't know they were out of stock. I will keep my eyes peeled...
-
Sent you pm Snaake about modding slim.
-
answered your questions.
I am gonna make a little faq picture. hopefully it will clear up some confusion. I know all this sounds more complicated then it is.
-
random pic :burgerking:
the blue wire is supposed to be longer. its to help the slims boot faster. my slim loads within like 5 seconds.
-
Donkbaca, uhm, dude, both of those links are out of stock. ;D
I paid $180 for my Xbox 360 3 years ago. A couple years ago Wal-Mart was dumping Arcades for $200 and you got a $100 GC. I don't think wanting to spend $50-75 for a working phat with a controller and power brick is that outrageous. "Console only" deals are a bust because the damn controller and brick set you back at least $50. I pulled a bare console 360 out of the trash and spent darn near as much as I would have on a used one.
:dunno
I'd sell you my phat xbox 360 for $50 + shipping with a power brick and component cables, but without a controller... shipping kills it though (the deal, and probably the system! they throw those suckers around!). Unfortunately the firmware is up to date, but It's never been opened or had to have been fixed. Falcon chipset I believe (came with an external 4mb card).
Most people selling their systems are probably upgrading to the slim version, and want to keep their controller.
-
Bump for Snaakkee....he just modded a 360 for me with wonderful results. :applaud:
He is truly a talented "engineer" AKA Mad Scientist? :lol :afro:
He's fast too.
-
Not that SNAAKE needs another endorsement, but I just got my Xbox back from him and it works perfect. He got it back to me in about a week(that included a Holiday) so turn around time was fantastic! I'll defiantly be using him for anther xbox in the future. Thanks SNAAKE -
-
now that Megaupload is down it's gonna be a hell of a lot harder to get the goods for modded 360s. Sucks!

Good time to go legit. :applaud:
-
My original 360 was modded by drive firmware. I got as many games as possible then realised I only played on a few and didn't really appreciate the game.
Also lost live as I was banned.
In the end got another 360 and left that standard which I prefer. Got live and I appreciate the game more. I never buy a game when it comes out. Id rather wait till a birthday, Xmas or wait until it's been out a few wks and get it on eBay for a big discount as someone has completed it.
Then again, I have a ps3 that is modded so have the best of both worlds.
-
slims are so much better/easier to deal with. dissembling/wiring is easier too.
-
On the topic of slim modding, do you just use the 50cm wire that comes with the tx cool-runner? I've got mine all modded up, and i'm doing an 8cm wire to the TX slim POST QSB, thinking i'd try out the different lengths to tweak the boot times. Currently I'm at about 20s on a 47cm wire, and it's fairly reliable on the 20s, but I'm really hoping on getting down to 10s boot times. Any suggestions?
Hopefully some time soon I get a chance to take it all apart soon and really benchmark the different lengths better. From what I've heard, the full 50cm seems to be the best so far...
-
use the included wire. the blue one is longer for a reason. it supposed to help boot slims faster. mine is almost always instant and sometimes about 5 sec.
I love the TX coolrunner. comes with the self stick pad and all colored wires cut to size and tinted
-
Yeah, I've used their wires for everything, except for the POST wire. Something doesn't sit right with me, having that much slack wire around. I feel that the serpentining is a much better solution. I can still get the desired 50cm with the QSB. Another reason for concern is that having the full 50cm wire, it's actually susceptible to cross talk from some of the nearby capacitors that provide higher voltages for the cpu. Something you should keep in mind during installations. It will help avoid the sometimes sporadic boot times.
-
yeah I know about the wires but that sounds like a myth lol. never really ran into any problem with wire placement.
that phat xbox with falcon V3 never glitched. apparently its not possible at the moment. from what I hear it has a "split CB" with dual bootloader or something. glad this is not the FIRST system I tried because that would have been very discouraging. the very first slim I glitched went smoove
-
I'm sorry I'm hijacking your thread. At least I can say you have a very reputable amount of knowledge. One of the best on here, for sure!
For anyone interested, here's a picture of the problem area you should avoid running wires around. I think it only really applies to phats, tbh.

slims are...sexy
my brother just gave me a free xbox because it came with his dell laptop. glitched this in like 40 minutes w00t! :applaud: check out buy/sell it will probably be up for sale. trying to see if I have any use for a second console(or another arcade cabinet lol)
-
Not that it's needed by now, but wanted to say that I had a Xbox 360 Slim JTAG'd and everything works great! Thanks again!
-
peep my mgs theme for freestyle dashboard. anybody wants a custom theme I can do it for a fee. its time consuming but I can

I used gamespy back in the day for Halo tunneling, and then switched quickly to XBConnect. Towards the end of halo one tunneling, the earlier versions of X-link started gaining popularity, but Kai missed that boat.
It's actually really great if you can set up a DD-WRT with the Kai daemon. No need to have any PCs running, just let the router handle the tunneling.
But back to your question about if I ever use it? Only if I really want to tunnel a classic game with a couple friends. We never sit and play randoms on it any more.
-
what is this "tunneling" business? I am guessing you can only play games with system link support features like halo and racing games? or ANY game?
-
Yeah, your client (xbc, kai, etc.) links up over the internet to anyone running the same program, and that's what creates the link (NAT Route/tunnel). You can play any system link game over the internet. Sould work for any console with network support, including handhelds.
-
Yeah, since xbox live came out for Halo 2, there hasn't really been many people at all on Kai, but it's still the "most populated" that I've found.
It's really only fun if you've got other friends you can't LAN with, or that one player doesn't have Live.
-
newest batch of tx coolrunners are beast. dont know if they changed anything or whatever. did a falcon and 256mb jasper. both boot in like 2 seconds. :burgerking:
-
What can I do with 3 older xbox360's all displayng rrod, one was fixed before, not by microsoft, not by myself.
Is there any trade-in value to these "SNAAKE SKINS" or any other options?
-3for1 trade + $ for a jtag ???
-fix 1 and jtag keep 2 + $ ??
I live in California so shipping would suck to NY.
-
I have no idea how to fix any redrings lol..
I will let u know if any interest at all. all of are hdmi? only real use I may have are the dvd drives assuming they work. know which dvd drives?
-
Sorry I dont.
I assume I can pull the info from the label on the back. One of them may be hdmi capable but they are all older so I think no.
(Gotta go look at them in storage)
I have to correct myself on two of them, they were sent back to Microsoft while still under there extended warranty\repair policy, but have since rrod'd and were no longer covered.
It brings a tear to my eye if I have to just throw them out...ahh the memories!!
-
Don't throw them out, ebay them, you will at least get something for them
-
Snaake-
Have you setup a coinops Xbox?
I have a spare Xbox that's apart and has a solderless chip (it's flakey)
Interested in a permanent install and a hard drive upgrade. I can provide Coinops files

yeah I have my own xbox with coinops. its just transferring the files. same as any other emulators.
PM sent with all the info.

oh forgot to bump.
dont update your dashboard to the newest june12 dash. it blocks the RGH hack. for phats its probably permanent. BEWARE!! :o
-
yeah XS has been dead for a while. they never update the front page anymore.
rgh3+new coolrunner is supposed to defeat everything. meaning even corona boards(slim xboxes after aug2011) can be RGHed
dont know about phat xboxes. personally I dont like working with phats.
-
Keep an eye on XS, a former mod is returning (HSDemonz). Not a particular fan of the guy, but he has no life from what I recall, so he'll get the job done.
-
actually I was wondering whatever happened to HSDemonz lol
-
XS will be back up with more news and a forum upgrade soon.
-
coolrunner 3 looking good. its supposed to glitch everything including all new xboxes with "corona" boards :applaud:
-
lol "OLD" jtag is so eZ now. with all the software/hardware improvement over the years. I just did one in like half hour :burgerking:
-
Do you still have to have the "Blade" dashboard to do a JTAG? I have an Elite 360 with the avatars dash but it hasn't been updated in months. I also git a 20gig pro with the HDMI port from a friend recently. Not sure what model that is, but it still has the blade dashboard on it. I want to mod one of them, possibly both. Which model do you think is easier to work with?
-
blade dashboard should be jtaggable.
other one needs RGH with the coolrunner chip. function is same for both other than the 2-5 sec boot time for the reset glitch(rgh)
PM or send me an email I can set something up for you.
customjoystick @ gmail.com
-
I've been out of the scene for a while. Please excuse my ignorance.
Can a 360 be modded to play MAME or is that just the original Xbox?
Thanks
-
^ yes it can be but there are requirements. you need the RGH hack with the chip.
date for the slim xbox has to be august2011 or before and dashboard 14719 or before.
phat xbox needs hdmi port and dashboard 14699 or before. most jaspers with 14719 still works with RGH2.
so you gotta let me know what I will be working with.
-
damn I forgot to bump this thread lol
still in business. also I am able to glitch/rgh/jtag any dashboard version for slim xboxes as long as they are made around august 2011 or before. working on everything too but so far I have that clear and ready to go. spent few hours today doing an xbox with newest dashboard and things worked just fine. :applaud:
-
so i have an xbox i've had for years and I bought a modchip about a year ago with the intent of modding it myself and never got around to it. my intention was just to use it to emulate older consoles.
if i sent the whole pile to you could you do the job? I'd have to go see what modchip it was but when i ordered it there weren't many types left.
I can go look if this is a doable thing and the price is reasonable. probably not something i'd ship out for a month or so tho.
-
there is no modchip for the xbox 360. what you may have is the development board like a tx coolrunner. if you are including the chip then I will do the work for 60+ shipping. check your dashboard version anyway and dont update anything just to be on the safe side. and it has HDMI port?
and from what I hear(recent finding), any phat xbox with hdmi port and any dashboard can be jtagged/RGHed now with new team xecuter timing files. I am gonna try a phat xbox soon and post result. already figured out slim.
-
In case anyone is hesitant about having Snaake do any mod for them don't be, I bought an xbox 360 slim from him and it works great. I actually used it in a bartop, (which he also did the marquee for).
Btw Snaake, I just got my hands on an old xbox and would like you to mod it. I'll send you a PM later tonight.
:applaud:

if you are responding to me, I said xbox, not xbox 360.
-
Just softmod it.
-
Just softmod it.
thanks but I already tried that with every version and game I could find and none of them ever worked. it would get to a point where it was supposed to boot up into something and then nothing would happen. tried every softmod and tracked down every game it said they were compatible with. zilch.

oh, well I can still mod original xboxes. what kind of chip? its only required for 1.6 xboxes(newest). otherwise I can just tsop flash any older xbox. it would still be the same $60+ shipping anywhere in the US. PM me your email address I will send you all the details on where to send it and paypal info. thanks
-
soo..Ive been little busy lately.
so far trinity and jasper motherboards are confirmed working with any dashboard to this date. meaning I can reset glitch/jtag any slim made before august2011 and any jasper chipset fat xbox. done and tested last weekend.
-
I've got a slim with this info-
manufacture-2011-03-12
dash- 2.0.16202.0
That's do-able right?
-
yes it is, now. been doing it
pm me if you wanna send it in.
-
I am interested in having my original Xbox set up. PM me and I will get back to you with details. Thanks.
-
Wanted to give a well deserved thread bump for a great service from one of our skilled members.
In case anyone is thinking of getting an Xbox or Xbox 360 modded
I highly recommend Snaake.
He recently modded an original Xbox for me and I love it!!
Bought a jtagged Xbox 360 from him a couple of months ago
(I believe this passed November) still running great.
Thanks Snaake
-
oh slims are very stable generally dont break. in fact I dont think I ever saw any broken slim xbox in person before.. :applaud:
-
SNAAKE are you still doing the original XBOX -
-
yes but 1.0 to 1.5 for hard mod only
I dont have chips for 1.6 xboxes anymore and they are hard to find(no one has them anymore..)
check your date on the bottom of the xbox and send me a PM for inquires

Both reputable suppliers. While they're no Team Xecuter products, I've installed dozens of both Duo-X2 and X3 and the alladin clones, without much hassle.

SNAAKE,
XBOX is going out tomorrow. Will have a tracking number wither before I go to work or, after I get home if the wife is the one sending it.
BZ
-
email the tracking thx :burgerking:
-
Tracking says attempted delivery and notice left.
-
bump still in business
cowboom.com has great consoles for sale too if you were to buy any for rgh purpose. halo reach and gears of war 3 consoles are guaranteed to have trinity motherboard and made before august 2011.
