I have one on ebay for the second time around for 10 bucks and I have had no watchers, bidders anything--Is 10 bucks too much for one in this condition (still working but with some cosmetic issues)
What do you guys think?

hmm i see what you are saying--i'm going to try and experiment and see how it goes...
-
Plus it's in the wrong category. That would get a LOT more in vintage video games.
-
From your auction:
"Ships to:
Canada"
Do you ship elsewhere? If you ship to the US and are including the power adapter, you might get a bid from me ;)
-
man I can't believe I overlooked that--naturally it ships to the US--such a newbie mistake :tool:

we all have our off days :dizzy:

I also noticed everyone else uses the word "arcade" in the title. (Like "Pac Man coleco arcade tabletop game"). I don't know if that matters.
"Vintage" title keyword isn't really beneficial (the game is old, but is it "vintage"? That word makes me think of old used clothes and vinyl records). "original" is unnecessary too (do they make bootlegs of these things?).
-
"Vintage Games" (http://video-games.listings.ebay.com/Vintage-Games_W0QQfclZ3QQfromZR11QQsacatZ4315QQsocmdZListingItemList) is the Ebay category name.
I do agree with what you've said, though, except in this case where it's a name.

My buddy buys those at yard sales for 5 bucks and sells them on ebay. Usually get between $35-50. More if you have box and manual.
-
If he finds more than one or two a year he has some insane luck. There aren't many of those around. I used to hit 15 or so yard sales every saturday all summer for years and never saw one.
-
Definitely more than that... He sold at least 4 of them last year. Other ones besides the Pac Man too. He had a Donkey Kong and Galaga last year. The only one I've never seen is DK Jr.
He's also found and kept a lot of stuff, including a boxed RCA Studio II with all the carts that he bought for like 50 cents.
Its a Saturday morning thing for him all Spring and Summer, so he's out there a lot. I've gone a few times, but just can't get into it. He did buy a boxed Dreamcast for like 15 bucks and gave it to me when I mentioned I wanted one. I'm guessing the people paying all the money for that stuff on Ebay don't know about yard sales.

I used to do the same thing... not anymore. Found lots of consoles, just not the Coleco tabletops.
