(Originally posted this on Mame World, but was suggested to post it here too)
A routine clean-up of my harddrive caused me to stumble across a bunch of pictures taken during a spur of "creativity" when I was QA'ing for LEGO.
Don't think these have ever been "published" so I decided to make a quick'n'dirty job and kick them online.
--> THIS (http://sdi.homepage.dk)<-- is what happens when QA people have a little too much time on their hands (and happens to like old arcade games).
Enjoy!

It's a ... ehh .. prototype?! ;)
I promise....If I ever happen to come by the 3000+ Duplo bricks again, I will rebuild it with working coinslots and a coindoor, m'kay?!

My GOD that must be the best job in the ever.
How much did that sucker weigh? I've been tinkering with the concept of a LEGO bartop for quite a while.

It will have to be a guestimate but I'd say around 100kg (excluding hardware) - not so bad but you have to keep in mind that to fill up the volume of one Duplo brick you need alot of "regular" Legos so had it been build with Lego bricks instead of Duplo bricks it would have weighted ALOT more.

That regular/Duplo density and weight issue is a damn good point. I hadn't thought of that.

Ghaw, we were just talking about this a couple of months ago. I CAN NOT BELIEVE someone really did it. WOW, that friggin rocks. On so many levels.

Theoretically, you could use Duplo for the main building material and use smaller regular Legos for any artwork, yes? Am I remembering correctly that they fit together?
