I have bought an Operation Bear cabinet (Clone of Operation Wof)
I am going to try to turn it into a Mame machine.
-
First i have removed the metal CP plate , and begun to remove the side art.
Can someone help me with designing the CP panel?
I want it to be an 2 player CP
That part is a little difficult for me.

It really depends on the type of games you are going to be playing the most. The most common layout is the street fighter, a joy with 6 buttons in two rows of three buttons. The other common layout is NeoGeo, joy with 4 buttons in a arc. There is also a merge of these, a joy with 7 buttons, standard street fighter with the 7th button along the bottom row next to the joystick. The bottom row would be for NeoGeo with the 7th button not used for 6 button fighter games. See the X-Acrade control panel for an example of this setup.

Is that Chuck Norris on the sideart? You better leave that part alone if you Mame this: he'll come out of that sideart and roundhouse kick you in the head!
:D

Should i add an trackball to the CP or not?
-
I would put a trackball in there - there's a whole bunch of trackball based games that are a lot of fun. You can work with the panel if there isn't enough space for a 3" one - go with a 2 1/4" if space is an issue...

The CP is 21,26 width and 14,76 height.
Can someone design a panel for me?
2 player with 7 buttons each , a spinner and trackball.

The software is a great start to planning your panel, and you don't need to use their service to just print out the layouts and make your own...

Wait until you start pricing side art. Chuck will start to look pretty good. :) ... as far as designing a CP just make paper cut outs for all the buttons and joysticks and a cut out for the trackball. Move them around on the paper until you have something that fits. That should let you know what kind of controls will fit on the CP.

That's what I usually do. I print out a bunch of buttons and joystick/trackball templates with Visio, then move them around on a piece of cardboard that is the same size as the control panel, or the actual panel if I have it handy. When I like the layout, I just tape the pieces to the panel and dril pilot holes right through the paper. Kind of low tech, but it works for me :dunno
Here is the link for the Visio buttons and stuff if you're interested:

Print your visio out on a standard piece of paper and take it Kinkos. Have them blow it up to the size you want. It was only a few dollars. I then taped that to the CP and center punched all my holes. Then used a small bit to drill them out and finally a forstner bit to make the holes. Went real smooth.

I have stripped the cabinet, and began to paint the cabinet.
It starting to look very nice (i think)
