Title: Anything out there to play Nintendo games on PS2?
Post by: lvrodri on January 03, 2007, 09:17:54 pm
I have a PS2 hooked up to a Ultimate Arcade cabinet for now using dual X-Arcade joysticks?  I know, I know.....why waste
an arcade cabinet hooked up to a PS2.  First ...I'm a beginner and hopefully someday I can have the smarts to build
a real MAME cabinet like some of you guys have.  Anyway......I really like some of the Nintendo classics, but of course they do
not make them for the PS2.  Can any of you geniuses provide any feedback on if this is possible please?  If so....how?

do you have a "chubby" ps2 or the slimline units.

If you have one of the older chubby ps2's you can run the  Independence Exploit.  From there you can run emulators and roms off a flash drive.  as well as add a network card and load ps2 games onto your hdd.  For more info check out this wiki

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS2_Independence_Exploit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS2_Independence_Exploit)

or go to http://www.ps2hd.com (http://www.ps2hd.com)

the hardest part is getting the exploit on the mc.
