Title: G07 Tube Question
Post by: FrizzleFried on December 14, 2006, 01:10:34 am
OK...I have a 19" Rauland 19VMBP22 tube that has zero burn in.   It currently is powered by a PowerMax 1000C chassis which is a re-branded Wei-Ya that is having some geometry issues that a cap kit didn't fix.

I came across a G07 CB0 working monitor with moderate burn-in for $40.  I would like to swap out the chassis from the damaged tube to the good tube.   Since the good tube was using a chassis that is a "G07 Replacement" it stands to reason that I should be able to do a direct swap without changing the yoke/etc...right?

The good monitor has an ID of 19VBMP22 and the burned monitor has an ID of 19VMJP22.

Thanks!

The Electrohome yoke connector wiring is different than the connector wiring on the Wei-ya chassis so watch wire color & function lest you damage the chassis.

That link will show you the wiring changes on the yoke connector.

If you swap the yokes as well does that eliminate the problem with mismatched hardware?

My Wei-Ya has a converter that goes from the stock G07 yoke connection to the Wei-Ya connection....if I remove this and plug the old connector in in the correct way,  all should be good....

....at least thats what I hope.
