Hi guys...
While Im still in the process of building my mame cabinet... Im still thinking of a dedicated arcade machine as a future plan. I can get a few jamma boards but would like to test/play them before its all up and built.
Ive seen these SuperGuns on the net and wonder if theres a guide on building one? Ive seen basic models for £40 but I want a 6 button set up mainlly so I can test the games and boards as the CPS2 have a suicide flaw!!
Has anyone got a dummies guide or even know where I can a guide from?

I found details... it looks a bit complicated for me.... I might just build the jamma loom into a small box for the time being and use that!!
Is it possible to do that? and how do I get a normal tv to plug into the jamma loom kit?

i had a jamma loom that had the end of an rgb scart cable attached to the rgb monitor output...
the r/g/b were connected to the r/g/b but sync ect im unsure gnd would be to gnd i tink...
a little trail and error and shouldnt be to hard

To use a TV you'd have to use one that works with raw RGB.

or buy this: eBay Link (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=017&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=270036123799&rd=1&rd=1)
I actually bought this color converter board...it works very well, but the picture on the RCA output looks like crap...S-video works well, though...

I'm currently building one using the video encoder/decoder chip from a sega saturn, I'll post back when done, but from what other supergun builders said, it's a good price/performance break, outputs composite and svideo

I'd be interested in seeing how this turns out...

I use a modded PS1 LCD screen. It is set to accept the same input as an arcade monitor. I just extended the wires to a connector I added at the back of the unit.

I have one of those little converter boards... I agree, composite looks crappy, S Video better. S Video has a lot less loss in the conversion the little board has to do.

I bought someones DIY RGB/NTSC converter from ebay for $50 based on a CXA1145P. I thought I had found a pretty good deal until I opened a $20 Genesis (to mod it the other way around) and found it used an equivalent IC (CXA1145M, IIRC)
