Title: Anyone one got a spare few minutes
Post by: elecdojo on October 15, 2006, 01:46:42 pm
Hi guys I got a simple button Im guessing I need to be vectored...

The button I wont to be able to print in various sizes and obvious with the gif/jpeg it blurs as it gets bigger.. would a vector image be right in this?

Is this a simple job someone can help me with or would it be a more time consuming job?

You dont need to vector a button.

If the button is the size you need, why go to the bother of vectoring it?

If you want it far far bigger, then I suggest you find a larger image otherwise when you scale it you will see a very poor image with no detailed outline.

What is it anyway?

By the colours and arrangement it looked like something Basketball related! :laugh2:

Probably not the most difficult job in the world...  I'd recommend downloading the vector tutorial and trying it yourself, but that image you have here isn't really big enough to work with and get any kind of detail.

But how much bigger?

If its going to be only a tad bigger, then vectoring it will be a waste fo time.

Vectoring that really would only take a few minutes. Learning how would take longer. I'd do it in pshop though if you have it, use a path to shape the Ken/Ruy, then drop it on top of your background.

If thats the case, please provide an image or LINK to the image concerned that you want someone to vector.

It needs to be a good size and fairly detailed to start with.

The image/button you gave above is FAR too small and if vectored will produce a image with hardly any detail and just wont look good when resized to A3.

I assume you want it for T-Shirts etc?

If thats teh case your gonna have to come up with something far better in order to help you.

hi... i cann provide the original sprite image, but then that image isnt much larger than the above button...

so would this mean that the image can't be done?

I dont think you understand what I am saying.

YES it can be done, but if you vector that button image above you will get a rubbish end result. The vector will be only as good as your source and if your source (the button image above) is poor to start with and tiny, and of course there is no detail in it to start with, the end result will look awful and will reflect the lack of detail.

Go and find a more detailed image and come back.

It needs to be far far bigger.
