Title: New Ghouls'n Ghost art
Post by: Lord Hiryu on October 11, 2006, 04:27:48 pm
Hi guys.
I'm glad to show you my last artwork.
Is based on Ghouls'N ghost game for a generic sapnish cab (video sonic)
All the artwork is done in Freehand and finally composed in Photoshop.

Enjoy.

Cheers.

I've already seen this, simply because I lurked over at Marcianitos (with the very funny translations Google provides) simply to hunt down more of your work after the Vertical Arcadium. ;) You should post some more of your full cab designs here at BYOAC, there aren't many people doing full original artwork like you.

Wow! It's amazing. Very nice work.

You say "based on", does that mean that you drew and made up everything yourself with the game in mind? Or did you do also some trace work on orignal Ghouls'N ghost? Just curious. In case of the former, I wanna do the same thing for the Elevator Action game. I will only use a trace of the original logo (see http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=58842.msg581939#msg581939 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=58842.msg581939#msg581939))

Hi folks.
Thanks for the accomplish.
All the artworks are draw by myself and vectorized by myself too.
I'm illustrator and working all the day doing this kind of designs..(and design toys too).
I think that after passing 10 hours at day using computer and pencil, some kind of skill I gained....don't you?

Well done!

Can I just make one suggestion?

The sideart maybe better looking in a frame and also in a different shape not just simple rectangle.

Its far too sexy not to do something special with it.

Hi Ad_Enuff.
Sorry for my English if is not understable.:P
This dedicated cab, has no design for his sidearts.
The art for this cab is only composed by: Marquee, Bezel, X-Arcade CPO, and Coin Door side.
The last image (the rectangle) will be putted on the from side of the cab, but in the coin door zone.

If you want to see an example of a sideart, take a look to another finished project..(same game...but this one is for another cab)

Cheers.

Thats EXACTLY what I had in mind!

I suggest you do the same again! That sideart looks stunning and more importantly looks so much better ALL over the sides rather than a simple rectanglular piece.

EXCELLENT! :notworthy:

You're misunderstanding, that's not side art. It's more like a kickplate graphic.

Thanks Aurich.
That's exactly this art made for....a kickplate design.

I don't find the correctly word.... :P

That's awesome. you're quite the artist. i can draw to an extent, but nothing like that. Vectoring makes me violent(i suck at it)

Hey Gav,

You a Kiwi too?
Nice 350z.

If Lord Hiyru does some Bubble Bobble art I would be keen to halves in the cost.
