...I moved home 12 months ago and sold my arcade cabinet but kept all my games. In fact, I bought more games during this time all the while I was looking for another cab.
I decided to collect games that used the SNK LS30 rotary joystick, eg, Ikari, Time Soldiers, Guerilla Wars etc. I went out and bought myself a cheap supergun so I can test these boards whenever they came in and I would plug the sticks in to make sure they work too.
I finally bought myself a Taito Egret 2 cab and quickly mounted the sticks on the control panel and made a little cable to connect the stick to the cab's joystick loom which works great. However, when I went to plug the cable that controls of rotary mechanism in the games, it doesn't get picked up at all! I thought I was going mad so I tried them again on the supergun and they were fine.
The question is, what's missing on the cab that's not allowing the rotary mech to work? I'm guessing the JAMMA loom perhaps, but I'm not sure. I thought since the cable plugs straight into the pcb it should work independantly from anything else?
Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
