Title: Gyruss project
Post by: ElGwako on September 19, 2006, 08:44:35 pm
I Picked up a Gyruss game sometime ago that was beat. It must have had a fish bowl of rocks and water thrown into and sat to rot.
I started out thinking i could fix the corners that were chewed up. It went pretty good at first but after the first panel i just decided to cut out new ones using 2/4 MDF. I'm pretty much just building a new cab now.
I got some stencils from Brian (Prok) and got a good match for the colors. She's almost ready for the paint so i hope to have the finished product soon!!!

I need a coin door, bezel and CPO if anyone has one.

take a look at a few pics and let me know what you think so far.
Should i have stuck with the original side panels??

No, you did the right thing.
The sides could have cause grief I reckon. One good knock and all that filler would have cracked off. If you have the artworkk and have done a good job then who is gonna be able to tell?

Keep on truckin'
