Title: Mala + .lcd files?
Post by: NightGod on September 12, 2006, 04:54:48 am
Is there a way to send .lcd files to my Beta Brite while using Mala as my front end? I looked through the menus and didn't see it, but it's very possible I might be missing something. I love Mala, but will have to use Mamewah if it's the only way to get my BetaB up and running.

Well better get to love MameWah then   ;)

MaLa only supports Parrallel LCD via MaLa hardware or LedWiz Hack

The Prices are pretty cheap

Meh, that sucks. I've got the .lcd files generated, just need the FE to send um, and already own the BB, so buying a little display would just be silly.

Mamewah it is, I guess.

FYI Mala does not use custom files for LCD (.lcd) like MameWah does.

It draws info from mame and Controls.ini. You can add to that with your own text if you wish (Much like a skin/layout)

That way you just set a 'Templet' for how it will look on multiple LCD screens and you are up and runny very quickly.
