Well, I finally decided to set Game Launcher up to play MP3s when choosing games, but it randomly and frequently skips the songs. All of them. Plays fine for 5 seconds, skips a few times, then plays fine again and keeps doing that. It'll do that if I'm scrolling throug the list of games, or if just sitting there. The sound skips - doesn't pause, doesn't get choppy. Just skips. Anyone encounter the same problem or have any idea?
Thanks,

I dunno but by default GL uses a "7" keypress (if I remember correctly) to skip songs. Maybe a button you're using to scroll or something is also a number 7???

No, sorry, it's not skipping songs. The music is skipping IN the songs. The sound skips, not the track itself :) Sounds like a broken record.

how fast is your processor? How decent is your graphics card? What is your interface (ipac or gamepad hack or ??)
on an older system I had ... using sidewinder gamepad hack... on a crappy video card.... if I didn't do anything the songs played fine... but once I started to scroll it would stu-stu-stutter but then pick itself back up (even if it continued to scroll)... know what I'm saying?

I know what you're saying, but it's not stuttering either :). It's like if you took an mp3 waveform, and randomly cut chunks of it out. There's no pausing, no repeating. A 3 minute song ends up being 2.5 minutes because it skips over some of it without a pause in the music. Winamp or Windows Media player don't have a problem at all. It doesn't matter if I'm scrolling throug the games, or doing nothing. It will do it regardless. Doesn't make any sense to me.
I'm running a K6-3 450MHz with a Radeon 7500 and an ipac in Win98 SE.
