DOSCab/WinCab Jukebox Beta 11 has finally been released! Go get it at http://webpages.charter.net/celamantia/jukebox .
The only really new features since the Beta 10 preview are more control over the screensaver, and some bugfixes.
This is the first official release in over a year; I'll try to be more timely with updates from now one!
DOSCab users: I have re-stubbed DOSCab with a different DOS extender, hopefully making SB PCI 128 and SB Live! cards work out of the box now. If you have one of the cards, please check it out and let me know if I was successful!
Thank you all for your suggestions, comments, bug reports, sound card testing, donations, kind words and support!

I tried loading up DOSCab, replacing my existing configuration.
The sound doesn't work now at all and neither does the touchscreen support. I tried mouse=enabled instead of mouse=touchscreen but it didn't make any difference.
Is there anything new that I have to set in this release? I'll try and figure out which sound card / driver I'm using. It's built in sound on the motherboard.
FOLLOW UP: I'm using the ESS1869 dos drivers for onboard sound. I switched back and ran the older verson of DOSCAB.EXE and it worked fine.

Hmm. Try the file at http://webpages.charter.net/celamantia/jukebox/doscab.zip . Does that one work?
-
I can't get that link to work.
-
Not sure what happened... can you try it again? I apologize for the inconvenience!

No need to apologize. You do all the hard work. We should be thanking you!
That version works fine. Fixed both sound and touchscreen.
The only thing I had to adjust was to set UseTrackZero to false. I'm using a CD skin. All the tracks showed starting at 1 but when you select a song you got the song after you picked. 1 was 0, 2 was 1, etc. 00 worked to select all songs though. I don't think I even have UseZero set at all.

I went back and read your directions. It looks like I didn't copy the new version of ALLEG41.DLL the first time. So I copied that, then tried the original DOSCAB.EXE again. I got the sound to work but still no touch screen (it would lock up though when playing a song and pressing the BTN_PREVPG button on the screen. So must be some kind of conflict with the mouse/touchscreen driver).
So I think the updated DOSCAB.EXE works, but still a problem with the original's mouse (although not as bad as I first said with the sound) Sorry about that!

DOSCab doesn't use the DLL, only WinCab does. It's probably related to the DOS extender stub I added to make some SoundBlasters work; seems it fixed some and broke others. *sigh*
I'll check out the selection issue. Thanks for your help!

I can't seem to reproduce this problem. Can you send me the SKN file you're using configured in such a way that it causes the error for you?
Thanks!

I'll send it out to you today. I took out the USeTrackZero line and now it works correctly so maybe it's just me being an idiot but I know I had a problem yesterday.

Thanks for the new release! The sound works fine here.
However, DOSCab still seems to hang when a MIDI song ends.

Looking at this now... hm. Not sure why it works in Windows and fails in DOS...

I think I have this fixed. Working on a couple of last-minute things and hopefully I'll have a download available tonight.
