Title: NBA JAM Wiring issue
Post by: g1275 on July 18, 2006, 12:22:11 am
I just recently bought an NBA JAM cabinet and I'm having a bit of a wiring dilemma. I had to change the power supply and I wired it how it was before. The monitor comes on but the board doesn't power up. I think I have found the culprit but I just wanted a second opinion.

As you can see in picture #1 that the -5va1 is disconnected to the board.

As you can see in picture #2 that -5va1 is connected to the power supply.

As you can see in picture #3 -5va1 is not connected to the board

Do I have to get a new Jamma harness or can I somehow finagle the -5va1 into the Jamma harness without the metal receptors?

Can't see the pics....
But NBA JAM doesn't use -5v.
A and 1 ( A1 is two pins) are grounds.

I had to resize those pictures.  If anyone wants to see them full size, just right click on them and select 'view image'

Did you check the +5 from your new power supply? If it's too low or high, that can cause problems.
