Hi everyone,
I've got my cab more or less working with MAME. Left to do is finishing touches on the menu... (currently using Peter's excellent emulaxian but not in 3d mode, mostly because I like the sophistication of the filtering.)
Now, I'm starting to look at other emulators, just for fun. I'm interested in comments from y'all on the playability/fun-ness of visual pinball, which I hear a lot about. Also, what are people's favourite non-mame emulators and games.
Thanks for your valued input.

you can also use the filters in cyl arcade mode ;-)
to the point vp is very fun in a cab and the only thing i really like on my arcade cab besides arcade games...but you will need on your vertical cab a graphic card that can handle dekstop rotation with full hardware acceleration...if not visual pinball will be slowwwww...

Hi peter,
Thanks for the tip.
Are you aware of any such video cards? It seems this would be very useful, as your cylarcade/fps arcade are all but useless on this system as it stands for performance reasons.

for geforces the later revisions of the geforce 3 and all geforce 4 can do hardware rotation. And i did try it with my geforce 4 and it worked great no difference in performance in visual pinball with a rotated desktop
and howard told me some ati can also do it but i really don't know much about ati's
myself i still use
but i only play mame on my cab as i still have a geforce 2mx in it :-)

Thanks. I think I'll start a new topic on this as I'm having a hard time assembling information about hardware-supported display rotation in windows.
Thanks
