Title: Announcement: MameWAH Custom List Generator Available
Post by: jcrouse on May 23, 2006, 01:43:34 pm
This is primarily for non-Mame roms sets. Please read the included readme.txt file for instructions. This is a first release so be patient. Please report all bugs and enhancement request to me via email at cpviewer@comcast.net. You can get the application from the MameWAH message board at Mameworld which is here:

http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=arcadeospc2jamma

or from my MameWAH page here:

Enjoy,
John

Please provide a link for those of us who don't have (or don't use) a mameworld account.

My ListGen (http://cpmaker.mameprojects.com/files/LISTGEN.ZIP) program has been producing MAMEWah game lists since late 2004, but it's always good to have more programs out there. ListGen uses SQLite to handle the filtering inquiries and a red-black tree to store the MAME game information.

I will post it on my website when I get home, in about 3 hours and then provide a link for ya. I just seems odd that someone interested in a MameWAH tool would not have an account on the official MameWAH support forum. Although, sometimes I think this is the MameWAH forum.  ;D

Buddabing, I was thinking the same thing.

jcrouse's seems to be generating list for console's only, and more specifically generates list by country code only.  Mainly written for the No-intro naming convention.

John, let me know if I'm wrong or I stated something incorrectly.

2600,
You are completely correct. It only creates lists based on country codes (for the most part). And it was designed for No-Intro sets although it should work almost as well on GT sets.
