when i first came to brisbane, i sought out the 'flying fighters collection'. as you can see from the pic, some nice eye candy for aviation buffs including a sea fury, a beach craft staggerwing (under restoration), two yak 3 fighters

and probably rarest of all- a ryan st trainer.

just so happens that you can get a joyflight in the trainer (also the jet in the foreground, but priced just a tad out of my range ;) ). ive been meaning to go for a flight for a while as there are only a handful of ryans left flying in the WORLD. last night on the news, they said that the whole lot has been confiscated by the government, along with his houses etc. the clown got done for tax evasion! now these planes will probably end up all over the world :(and ive missed my chance to enjoy a bit of history. this ryan was owned by the royal dutch airforce and since im half dutch that would have been extra cool 8)
