Title: Has anyone ever tried to hack Dreamcast's storage?
Post by: Stobe on April 11, 2006, 01:05:37 pm
I'm sure it doesn't exist, or else everyone would be on top of it.  But I was just wondering if anyone had ever heard of using a hard drive or something to store ISOs on a DC instead of switching discs all the time?

I don't think this can be done...  it'd be nice, though.

It can be done, but not what you are thinking.

The only access you'd have to the HD is running an embedded linux kernal, with linux apps.  Sorry no iso for you!

In fact, if you want the simplest solution, just buy a Dreamcast Katana dev box, as its a DC inside a PC case with IDE port on the back.  Again, you can only use it with the real DC dev tools though..
