As far as I know there are only a few of these still floating around. I know billabs the BL19C91T, but apparently they are currently backordered (and I still haven't been able to get a price from them). I'm not sure, but I'm willing to bet it's a Wei-Ya monitor, but I couldn't tell which one it is.
Wells Gardner also has the D9500, and they want 305 for it direct. They have a link to American Gaming and Electronics who seem to have carried the Wells monitor at some point but they are out of stock there. I don't know if their stock status has any bearing on what Well's has listed on their site.
Are there any others that I could potentially get my hands on? And does anyone have any experience with any of these smaller multisyncs?
Thanks

Wow...this is pretty cool. I know a few of us have been looking for a 19" digital multisync for a while (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=44810.0). Anyone used these monitors yet?
And, as a side note--you have to love the gaming (read=gambling) industry. Nothing like a surge in demand for electronic slot machines to foster some new products... ;)

From what billsabs told me, they JUST started carrying the 19" model. It'll be about 4 weeks until they can be purchased. They are 299.
It looks as though wells took down the pricing on their 19" model (was set at 305) and now want you to call. I'm guessing that's because it's out of stock at the moment.
I'm guessing they are both fairly new as I've found virtually NO information about them anywhere. Wells seems to be positioning their model as an all around drop in replacement for all their other 19" models. I doubt their dropping their other models, just that this is a "covers all the basis" kind of model.
I suppose I'll have some time to mull over my monitor decision.
Another thought, is anyone else interested in maybe trying to get a group buy to try to get prices down? I'm not big on starting these kinds of things, but I'd probably be down if someone who's used to doing this kind of thing wanted to get things going.

Oh man would I be excited about this. I have a PC monitor in my cab and really want a 19" arcade monitor. A few questions about this one... just stuff I'm hoping for, I see that there isn't much info on them yet.
Is this multisync only changable by a jumper? Or can it be done via the control panel
Also, does it have a degauss function. I ask because I have a rotating monitor and need to degauss easily.
I've been waiting for this for a *long* LONG time... hopefully someone digs up some specs too to look at.

I actually bought the D9500 from wells gardner. It's a proper multisync. I've got windows running at 800x600 and then when I fire up a game in advancemame it's running in 15.75kHz glory. Wells has the specs on their website but this thing is basically a baby d9200 as it will do standard, medium and vga at least up to 800x600 (haven't tried 1024x768). It's a really nice monitor. Totally worth the 300 bucks.

Ooh ooh, do you mind a few questions? ( I will go read the specs, promise ;D )
So automatic multisync, no jumpers? Does it do degaussing? Also, how do vector games look on it (if you've tried it yet).
Ok, off to read the spec...
thanks,

If there are jumpers, I haven't seen one; Not that I've looked very hard. I have my desktop set to 800x600 and it switches to standard res automatically whenever I load up a game. Degause can be controlled via the little osd controller board that comes with the monitor.
Haven't tried any vector games. Give me the name of your favorite vector game and I'll try to snap some pics for you. I can't turn this thing vertical just yet as I don't have it mounted to anything and I'm not risking it until I do. That said, if the game is verticle I'll rotate the image so it fills the screen, and then I'll rotate the picture around so you can get a good look.
As I said, I'm pretty sure this thing is just a baby d9200 so anything that goes for that monitor probably goes for this one too...for the most part anyway.

Thanks a bunch for the info, sounds almost too good to be true. There was a potential one about a year ago that a bunch of us were following and it didn't pan out. I've been waiting for a LONG time for this... As for the jumpers, that particular one from a while back had a jumper to switch between modes, it wasn't automatic.
Hmm, a good game to show how good vector games look would probably be Asteroids Deluxe since it also has artwork behind it. I like a lot of the vector games but that one would be a good representation I would think. Any will do though, Black Widow, Star Wars, etc. You are "da man"! :notworthy:

Didn't get a chance to take pictures last night. I'll try to get some tonight.
I had been looking at the billabs (which should BE the wei ya) and it was just too much money. 300 for the monitor and then another 100+ for shipping (60 extra if you want it to your house) was just killer. That and it only does up to 640x480. Not that I needed anything higher, but every feature counts.

This is the first time I've ever bumped a thread in any forum... Really. :)
I'm just hoping the OP sees this. I am so ready to buy this monitor and do all the work of replacing the current one (not a simple plug and play due to the rotating aspect) but I'm dying to see how vector games (and background artwork) look. I played some Missle Command tonight and will all the d3d effects I get a nice mask just like an arcade monitor but man is it dim. Cranking up the brightness only makes the black bg look white. :(
I'd gladly repay the favor somehow, software work, whatever. I have a nice frontend for your cab. :)
:hissy: ;)
