ITX motherboard running a 600MHz fanless processor, 30G laptop hard drive, 256M ram, Logitec wireless controller. It does Svideo and composite and cost me about $280 total with lots of patience and luck on Ebay deals.
And it fits in carry-on luggage very nicely.

low grade laptop?.... um not much mula left over but i have till June-July i just need some clue to what ill have/need by then... something that can atleast play PC games decently* though...
(since my PDA cannot stand more than older MS games)

that may be outa my limit.... (the laptop -newegg) id really like to go the custom road, something like the NES MOD or samstags, i need it more so for the trip itself not so much the plane ride...

If I were you, I wouldn't bother w/ ITX. Stick to mATX
You could also try an SX-64
-
eBay?
-
haha I remember the commodore SX-64..
Check this site out they crame mini-itx motherboards into everything. thats how i built my breifcase mini-itx computer for when i travel.

i would suggest the http://www.mini-itx.com/reviews/nehemiah/ just because it has s-video out and its a little over a 100 bucks. thats with a 1 ghz proccessor.

I remember seeing someone do an ITX mod with an SX-64. They even used the original monitor.
ITX doesn't really sound too great, with the speed limitations
-
hey that stuff is actually pretty neat... hmm ill guess ill have to think up something...
-
heres a comp they moded out with the monitor

They also have examples of a Commodore PET, Atari 800, etc
-
not really what i had in mind... more like the look of a custom console, sorta like samstag did, but i dont have a clue what these things normally retail for with a decent CPU
-
im looking along the lines of close to 1GHz, 256 MB RAM and some decent integrated or what have you video
I loved this one... ;D http://mini-itx.com/projects/frame/ (http://mini-itx.com/projects/frame/)
