Hey guys,
Newbie here, just started collecting. My first piece is a 1981 Sega Turbo in absolute mint shape. Only thing I need is a flourescent bulb to replace the what appears to be blown one.
I took the entire game apart, cleaned inside and out and noticed the bulb while cleaning. It appears to be blown and original as it has the Japanese Kanji characters stampted on it. Is there anything I should or check for besides just replacing the bulb? I read something somwhere about making sure the starter and ballast work before changing the bulb or I can blow the main fuse. Is this right? Any tips?
I took the bulb out and brought it to about 3 lighting stores in my area and no one has a replacement. Its about 13.5 inches long and very thin.
Does anyone have a clue what the part number is or where I can get one? I'm dying to replace it so I can see the marquee lit up.
Thanks and look forward to posting more here!

sometimes it can be dificult getting certain size tubes,if it was me i would just buy a whole flo tube unit and replace the original, you could probably get a similar size unit that is standard and then it will not be a problem getting tubes in the future.we have done the same with alot of our import machines and it saved us alot of money in the long term.
