Post by: DF on January 31, 2006, 07:43:06 pm
I am looking for some sample layouts for 1 single player control panel. I really like the L (http://www.ironvulva.com/?page_id=13)

No ideas? I have gone through all of the CP's in the examples list but none of them really grab me. There has got to be someone else out there who has done some nice ones!

I've sold some single-player panels in the past.  The layouts are rather generic but maybe they'll help some.   You can actually fit quite a bit in a small space.

Thanks guys,

Yes I already have gone through the examples.

I like a lot of that artwork on Byrdo's site I was considering using some similar designs. I also saw the blueprints, I might do a mock up of it this weekend and see if it will work for what I want.

Mike, what are the dimensions of your CP?

Mike, what are the dimensions of your CP?

Dimensions of the CPO/top is about 18"x10"x1/2" MDF

Base dimensions are roughly 16"x8" (w x d) and ranges from about 3" to 4" tall, with the slope.

Are you looking for just a joystick and buttons or di dyou want to incorporate a trackball and spinner and things like that as well?

For the layout of a single player unit, the easiest thing to do is look at a 2 player setup and just image cutting off the right half.

But if you are asking more about artwork and such, that's all just personal preference I guess.  heh.  Can't help you there.

kelemvor:
No, I don't want a monolithic controller. If I decide to do a trackball/spinner/kitchen fawcett it will be a separate controller.

I also don't want to just hack a two player in half. I think I have everything figured out though, thanks.
