Title: Extremely violent games?
Post by: AE35 on January 30, 2006, 04:03:45 am
Hi!

I know this sounds strange, but we are having a great playing Time Killers, because it's so violent and fun in a totally splatter-like way. The game gets some really good laughs.

I would like more of these super-violent games, maybe someone here can
give some advice. Of course, I already know MK(but which is the most violent of them?), and Killer Instinct and Chiller. But usually the fighting games just tends to throw blood away from the player when hit. I also tried Blood Storm, which seem pretty good(and violent, step wisely ;D)

I know it's strange, but getting an Armless Win in Time killers rocks the house.

Thanks!

Nicholas

as far as mk goes, mk2 is probably the bloodiest (as far as fatalities).  mk1 was pretty good too.  mk3 just didnt cut it for me, i think thats also where they introduced babalities (friggin lame).  assuming mk4 runs they had some decent ones in there.  Quan chi was my favorite, ripping someones leg off and beating them with it.

SmashTV tends to have body parts flying every where I think.  Not a 'fighter' but...pretty fun and bloody. :)

If you want bloody,  there's this very sick shooting gallery game in Mame... I forgot the name, but you'll know when you see it.  Somewhat of a cross between a shooting gallery and an S&M dungeon.

It was one of those games in Mame that must have been created for a very, very specific audience (leather bars??? !!!!)

eek... I feel dirty thinking about it :)

There is a MK clone that i just played this weekend, but damn i cant remember the name... it was much more violent.  It was a total knock off of MK with some black "venom like" tatoo theme going through all the the bad guys.... anyone remember the name?

(I banned it from my cab - too violent for my kids)

EDIT - found it - Tatoo Assasins

Here is some info about it

The never released Thrill Kill bootleg for the playstation is quite violent. That's the reason it was never released in fact. Pretty fun if that's what you're into.

Violence of course is subjective. For example, imagine you were a little white dot. You'd see pac-man in a whole new light.

I think you are talking about "Chiller"

It is definitely a very strange game and it still amazes me that it came out in 1986.

It is one of those games I do not have on my cabinet due to the youngsters.

It's funny, but REALLY violent/ sadistic in a Japanese way:

Sokonuke Taisen Game

Great fun with 2 players!

(it reminded me of the Commodore64 classic 'Creatures')

Heh, I've played this.  The game is completely freaking twisted.  Might be good to play with the new LED guns :).

Just popping in for a mk2 history lesson.

Mk2 introduced babilities, not mk3.  Mk2 also introducted friendships.  It had more "alities" than any other game.  Mk3 introducted the brutality (lame combo kill)  and animalities.

So if you want to get technical, umk3 offers the most characters with the most killing methods per character.  Now as to if they are considered violent, I dunno.

The Mortal Kombat series switched to "animated violence" as early as mk2.  The only game in the series to even attempt at realism was the original mk.

With that being said, I think about as highly of people who play mk just for the fatalities as I do street fighter fans that only play for the mindless 32 hit combos.  :)

"This might also be the first game to show pixellated BOOBAGE!  That's right... boobies.  Booby boob-boob boobies and jugs.  Breasteses, if you please.

Fun bags, num-nums, cans, jugs, hey-how-ya-doin's.

Mammaries.

Pretty far out for 1986."

I always liked Time Killers and how you can chop body parts of your opponents.
Good times.

;D ;D :-X :-X Well there goes letting my wife read some of the stuff in these forums about my "totally" nice hobby of this video cabinet I put together.  Now we see the real reason for these things "Boobies".  I would go on about this post but my wife is getting out of the shower and I think I will go visit those close friends of mine she carries on her chest.  I would use some classic Homer Simpson line at this point but my mind is somewhere else....num.....num....num
