i have tendanitis in my elbow from re-wiring my control panel (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=21390.msg473501#msg473501). all those little screws on the cp and the keywiz killed me. and it was a re-wiring job, so i had to undo it all and then re-do it.
i am such a loser. so much for 'getting things done' (my theme for 2006). all my other projects are on hold now too.

WTF were you doing, pitching 8 innings while rewiring?
-
Dude, that's what drinking is for. It's to stop the pain.
Just drink and play games. The pain will go away eventually.
And as a tip, buy a few more tools. Like a cordless drill with screwdriver attachments.
-
Sure... from the rewiring the panel.... don't lie to us, we all know it's from clicking on the cheesecake thread.
-
Sounds like you need to give the kittens a bit more of a head start ;D. And go out and buy a cordless drill. It will change your life!

I dunno. Putting his johnson in a cordless drill only seems like a recipe for disaster. Mebbe you're into some freaky sex stuff nos, but you should confine that stuff to PP :P :-*

Noooooooooooo! get well soon (",)
-
I was hoping at least some crazy painkillers. But no.
I came home tonight and aside from making dinner, I did nothing.
And I only have 4 more butons to install on a mini auxillary panel before i'm done. I had finished it earlier, but most of the switches broke, so i got a different style. if only i had 30 minutes of health!! agrh.
now it's just sitting on my coffee table mocking me.
(and no cheesecake for me... adding insult to injury) :'(
-
I had that once....
well he called it tennis elbow.
( I have never plaid tennis in my life) hurt like heck. Put a wrap on my elbow with a hard (thing a ma bob to push in in a spot) seems like I wore that thing for months.
even a cup of coffee was painfull.
burning feeling? Make your hand shake? Week in the arm? certain jobs at work would set it off to this day ( I bid off those jobs)
good luck... Will take a long time to get 100%
but you will. Just wear that bandage. I only took it off for sleep and showers.
I would get a spare one, ( to wear when other one is being washed)
maybe not the samething as what you have but I sure can relate to it. :-\

sounds like you need to get a second opinion

I'm just trying to help out. Pulling a trigger has to be less injurious than...
-
...twisting your screwdriver.

You have tendinitis and you're ugly too. ;D
-
I played a LOT of competitive tennis as a teenager as well as baseball as a centerfielder and starting pitcher. I had tendinitis of the right elbow and wrist for like 5 years straight. There were days that my right arm would just hang there like someone stole the bones from it.
It hurts, yes, but it shouldn't stop you from doing something like this. You're not going to go out and play a tennis tournament but there is no way it should stop you from turning a screwdriver. The only limitation there is your pain threshhold.
-
Chad's words: "blah blah tennis, 5 years, no bones, blah blah pain, threshold"
Chad's thoughts: "Suck it up, Nancy" :P ;D
-
Yep.

A lot of guys are like Chad. Keeping their feelings to themselves and all ;D
Where's that howling with laughter smiley we need?

I had this for a few years. They make a velcro band that goes right below your elbow that holds the tendons close and helps a lot, look in a pharmacy.
Also if you spend a lot of time at a PC there is a good chance your mousing position is doing this to you. Google 'Mouse Ergonomics' and see if you can make some changes.
edit: The first hit in google is pretty good. http://jaxmed.com/articles/wellness/mouseErgo.html

You people are all gay.
Take the pain, TAKE THE PAIN.
-
Bones' words: "You people are all gay. Take the pain, TAKE THE PAIN."
Bones' thoughts: "You people are all gay. Take the pain, TAKE THE PAIN."
Subtle, Isn't he? ;)
-
-
I understand the TAKE THE PAIN... but the accusation of being gay?
When combined with TAKING THE PAIN... it tells us much we didn't need to know about Bones.

WTF were you doing, pitching 8 innings while rewiring?
Well, no wonder...
