I finally got mamewah running on my comp. and I was trying to boot straight into it.
I found post where someone said:About 10 posts down.
Just realized your on Win 98, that makes it even easier. In your system.ini file I believe, change the line that reads "SHELL=explorer.exe" to your mamewah executable. That'll do the trick
I did that on my win 98 and now it said "Can't load mamewah.exe.....Please Reinstall Windows"
It won't even let me go to safe mode. Please does someone know how to go back to Explorer.exe????? :'(

Boot your computer with a Windows 98 Bootdisk (http://www.bootdisk.com/), then edit your system.ini back to it's original (shell=explorer.exe).

Thanks, I did boot it up but have no clue how to edit system.ini now from here.....
-
type "edit"

Ok did that too, got blue screen I can type but like I said no clue how to edit or what to type.... ???

Got it, Restarted and the F8, then Command Prompt only, and then edit system.ini from there.
Thanks God. Now does anybody knows why it happened because it all works no problem if I start it........

Did you give the full Mamewah path (eg 'shell=c:\mamewah\mamewah.exe')?

Did you give the full Mamewah path (eg 'shell=c:\mamewah\mamewah.exe')?
No, I didn't because Explorer didn't have full path so I "figured" ::) it would be ok.You think that was the problem??
Bingo...That did it...Thanks Minwah

Just I thought I had it.......Only thing now when I quit MameWah there is no Windows (Explorer) to go back to it. Is there any way around this problem now or is it ether or Mamewah or Explorer ???
-
There is an option in MameWAH to run an app one exit. Set it to explorer.exe.

Thanks John, will try....

Make sure you set the ESC key to "Exit and Run App" or something like that in the mamewah.cfg file (if your using the latest beta).
