Title: Pirate Radio Question
Post by: GGKoul on January 07, 2006, 01:05:11 am
Here's what I'm trying to do... Let me know if this can be done and how.

I want to hook a FM/AM/CD source to my PC via an audio patch cord input on my PC, then stream that signal over the internet so I can listen to the broadcast from any internet connection.

So I dont want to record the boardcast on my PC from the audio input, I just want to use the PC to stream.  What do you think?  Can it be done and how?

Thanks!!

have a look at shoutcast (part of winamps stuff)

www.shoutcast.com (http://www.shoutcast.com)

get the shoutcast server and streaming tools

you will probably also want their Line input plugin and Null output plugin

all in all it should take you no longer than 30 minutes to get the system up and running.

It's not even noon on Monday yet, and I've already seen the funniest thing I'm going to read all week. :D
