Re:

you could allways hold up a cardboard sign at a busy street corner
-
Spend all day looking at pRon- you won't get fired for doing it at work now.
-
If I could do it all again I reckon I would become an astronaut. Yeah, astronauts get all the hot chicks.
Of course NASA would probably expect punctuality, so perhaps holding a sign on a corner would better suit you as Mission suggests.
Maybe something along the lines of "will dance for food".
-
Well, you are probably going to have to switch gears now regardless, as it is darn near impossible to get a retail job in January.
Since you obviously have a tardiness problem then I would suggest looking for a job where that won't be as much of an issue.
-
i came in late for like the 100th :) lol and i got fired from (best buy) been workin for like 2 years. o well now im just tryin to figure out what to do.
I'd go back to Best Buy and buy a friggen ALARM CLOCK and get your ass to work on time. I'd also assess what you wanna do with your life since Best Buy doesn't even think you're employee material.
On the plus side, McD's SOMEWHERE near you is hiring (don't know how I know that, but I have a feeling) for about the same money. Although if you can't escape getting fired from McD's, you pretty much suck at life. Make sure you show up on time to McD's. It IS possible to get fired from there.

how bout a combination of both our ideas......
hold up a sign saying
"will look at uranus for food"
-
Good idea. I got stuff even a doctor won't check out.

be sure to ask them if you are still eligable for an employee discount....
-

It's never a good sign when your doctor gasps and says "that's the most gruesome thing I've ever seen in all my years of practice" when you drop your pants. Mrs Bones told me about the pointing and laughing he did at you too. Lucky for you, she hadn't heard about me and left you yet. I don't think anyone coulda survived the humiliation you went through, but then again, I think you're a "special" case ;D
-
Actually, taking a wild guess and saying that he fits the BYOAC demographic of "white guy***" and going by the information given that says he worked at Best Buy for over 2 years, that would most probably make him a white guy over 20, which would make it near impossible for him to land a job at McDonalds.
Really, he could try, but he wouldn't get the job.
*** I can count the number of BYOAC people and arcade collectors in general I have met, seen and interacted with who were not "white guys" on one hand, and all of those were "Asian guys". Try going to superauctions sometime, only time I have ever seen more white people in one place was waiting in line for the ski lift.
-
Mrs Bones told me about the pointing and laughing he did at you too.
That I can tolerate but I really didn't find it professional when he called all the trainee nurses in for a laugh.
-

It was easier than trying to explain it later. That, and stuff just isn't funny when it's something that "you had to be there" to get the joke.
I saw the photos. They were right to laugh. Not as hard as Mrs Bones described to me, but I guess it's one of those things where you can't stop once you get started and everything reminds you of that and sends you into new rounds of laughter.

My wife just got laid off from her retail job.
I bet he doesn't feel tardy.

Damn... so it's mus and your wife CT, standin' on the street corner in a Bones Astronaut Suit, holding up signs by mission.... I gotta see that!!
-
Hell no, my wife has a chance at finding another job. This guy doesn't.
-
I bet he doesn't feel tardy.
No, but he should.....

I bet he doesn't feel tardy.
Damn you CT. I know this is FROM something.

What is "Hot for Teacher", Alex???

-
how can someone expect to keep a job if they aren't there ontime anyway??????
-
Well, it's not like the sales people at Best Buy do anything anyway.
-
Sure they do. They bug me when I'm trying to read something.
They also can tell me where the bathrooms are.
-
Last time I went to Best Buy I took my gotta pee jumping up and down now now now 4 year old to a floor sales person who could not tell me where the bathroom was... but he did try to sell me an iPod cradle.
-
Well, it's not like the sales people at Best Buy do anything anyway.
Best Buy sales people are the most annoying people in the world
BB# 1 "Can I help you?"
MC "just looking...."
BB#2 "anything I can help you with?"
MC "still looking...."
BB#3 "can I help you?"
MC " leave me the ---fudgesicle--- alone.... and pass that along to the rest of your co-workers"
-
The last time a retail floor person bugged me like that I told them I had to piss but my zipper was crusted shut.
Dude almost fell down getting away from me.
-
I find that if I just blurt some randomness out at the top of my lungs like "The god-damn pen is blue!" they tend to leave you alone or send security. The security people at Best Buy are more knowledgeable.
-
I just wanna bounce those things like Sugar Ray Leonard.
-
Chad, shmokes is looking for pics like I think you're talking about with the crusted-shut zipper. Post 'em for him in the worms/crabs/lice thread
-
On Dec 24th, salesman had on weird hat with antlers and bells, like a psycho reindeer.
Him: "Can I help you find anything?"
Me: "Do you have those idiotic reindeer hats here?"
Oh, we laughed and laughed.

Haven't got a clue why, but had I been drinking something, as sure as I'm sitting here, I'd have snotted EVERY LAST DROP onto my screen. You da man! :-*
MrDK *Boldly reading Jack's pearls of wisdom regardless of the snot factor*

Now that I think about it, when I was at Lechmere's as a teen (old dept store now defunct), dude asked me if he could help me find anything. I told him I wanted the phone number of the girl behind register 4 and he gave it to me.
That was pretty useful.
-
Any chance someone could re-open that store? Everybody could use something like that
-
Hell no, my wife has a chance at finding another job.

bones hows this.....

I come in late all the time. I also leave early. You're working at the wrong place.

Maybe this guy can get a job testing Depends.
-
hahha my dumbass supervisor just called me in the morning and told me that there short of people. i told what the hell can i do for him. he said that i really wasn't fired until the forms where turned in. he said he'll let me have my job :), i knew that can't fire me that easily because i get the most numbers in wireless department. hehehe so yeah now i gets me job back and im doin around 37 hours a week.
u guys are punks ... talkin bout join mcds, astrounaut, corner and what not lol
all i got to say is "can i help are u interested in a ipod" lmao
ps still lookin for some wholesale sites
-
Actually, punks are the guys I have to cover for because they are not dependable. You know the guys that show up late all the time and what-not. ::)
-
try going to work on time this time around.
-
Well if you ask me you are very lucky. Read the warning signs and learn from it.
When you can't depend on people/staff they serve no purpose. I would have fired your ass twice, then re-hired you and fired you again just for the fun of it.
But hey, this is just me.....
-
So you're the dumbass who feels the need to hard-sell me some phone package when my phone is in clear site IN MY HAND?
It's a shame they aren't willing to teach you the lesson you should have been taught long ago.
Welcome, subzero Jr. ::)

You guys are being too hard on him. Every man is born with a function, a purpose, a calling in life. To find that calling, and make it your job, should be every man's dream.
This guy was born for Best Buy.
-
Wow, so best buy really IS for employing the mentally handicapped. I thought that was just an ad campaign.
-
Every man is born with a function, a purpose, a calling in life. To find that calling, and make it your job, should be every man's dream.
He missed his calling in life. He was supposed to find it at 11, but he overslept ;D
-

Sorry to jump in here but this reminded me of my trip to the doc to get myself fixed after my third kid.
I'm laid back on a table with the family jewels to the world, one doc doin his cuts, carterize, and stitching, an assistant helping....I'm the last appt for the day, outpatient.
The whole office staff comes in and stands to chat as they were planning an after office party for someone that was leaving to go work somewhere else. They go on and on and on....
.....not the same but made me think.
Steve
-
Did you end up getting half off? ;D
-
WOW it really suprises me that most of you guys are 30-40 while me being 25. I would know you guys would have more experience but damn with all of those comments you guys are sick :) heheh o well u can keep replying and what not.
Im a nice guy i try to be cool with everyone, so i don't wanna to start a thread war or anything so yeah
laterz

We would never have guessed you were 25, either. ;D
-
Did you get the memo about using red to correct the papers of the students?
Purple. It's the red of a new generation.
-
Purple is sooo last Tuesday.
Lavender is the new Purple, plus it sounds way gayer, or is that most gayestest?

Welcome, subzero Jr. ::)
good call on that one....
didn't subzero re-edit his post also when he changes his mind about stuff.....
hey mus, one think if you don't have the stones to keep what you put on the internet then stay off it........
going back and editing post and titles is childish and stupid.........
-
Oh, the new thread title is funny. But he should have left the first post there.
Pulling it just seems so Hightower.
-
I keep wanting to run some of the MUS posts through some sort of JAR JAR BINX translator to see if it will make more sense.
-
we could allways pull out the old faithful drunk translator.........
-

That has nothing to do with age. I'm 21, but thankfully have the mental capacity to punctuate properly (usually).
Bad grammar is a sign of stupidity, laziness, or both... its not age dependent :)
-
I was at Best Buy checking out the cameras and one of the guys meets me eye to eye to eye and then spits out, "Acker helper anything bah?" or something along those lines, and I may have needed some help but I just responded with, "No, I'm fine," for his own well-being.
-

It is. It's. That right there, that's funny, I don't care who y'are! ;D

I perfer it to be due to my slackness

And though he has plenty of cash, there's one thing he says he'll never buy: an alarm clock.
-
Did you get the memo about using red to correct the papers of the students?
I'll get you another copy of that memo, and I'm gonna have to go ahead and ask you to work Saturday.
-S
-
If it falls on the 30th of February, no problem.
-
"The god-damn pen is blue"
-
Mus! Mus! Wake up! You're late for work! It's 8:23a and you were supposed to start at 8a! Don't say we didn't try to help.
-
I went to Best Buy yesterday. As I was telling the third person who was trying to "help" me to f*** off, I thought of our good friend Mus. I don't really have a point to this story.
-S
-
I don't really have a point to this story.
-S
That's why it belongs here.
-
You do realize that if you weren't asked by 3 or more associates if you needed any assistance that you'd likely be complaining that you couldn't get any help at some point.
-
It's funny, 'up here' we have Future Shop and Best Buy, right across the street from each other, and in fact one owned by the other (BB bought FS).
Now what's funny is that at FS, even though the stock is almost identical and prices ARE identical (they both have that price match thingy), the shopping experience is actually WORSE than BB!
-
Look at the "I just got fired" thread for an explanation.
-
If he hadn't renamed it to "RE: this thread this one right here sucks", I would.

If he hadn't renamed it to "RE: this thread this one right here sucks", I would. ;)
Blip!

Over the Christmas holiday I was in BB and one of the staff was actually wearing a lip ring (or whatever they call those ridiculous things).
-
Bad grammar is a sign of stupidity, laziness, or both... its not age dependent :)
Anytime somebody signs his correspondence with "laterz", I'll bet good money he's under 30.

From now on, I'm using laterz in every post. Will this make me young again?
