Hi. I am thinking about maybe buying an area 51 game around income tax time. If I do get one I want a reconditioned one to avoid problems. I have seen sites selling them for about $2000.00 Isn't that a bit much for a game that came out in 1995 ?
-
Thats ALOT!!!
-
I wouldn't pay more than $650 for a 'reconditioned' dedicated Area 51.
Always ask the seller what was done for this so-called 'reconditioning'. Perhaps all that was done was change a burned out marquee light and clean the monitor glass?

Ken's right.
Area 51's are old. You can buy them at auctions pretty cheap now. Go to

and see if there is an auction near you.

Sweet! I think I'll go to the Rochester one in March...

Yep, they had two showcase cabinet AREA 51's at the auction here in Kansas City last weekend, both pretty nice condition. I don't think either went for over $400 if I recall.

I already have a nice Mame cab and now i want to get some real cabs to start building a collection.
thanks for the link Scott but that's way to far away.

Dedicated is better.
Light guns with mame are always dodgy.
