The wife just got a package in and the packaging material they packed the item with with appears to be EDIBLE?
I was going to throw the box away and picked up one of the pellets. It feels like a Cheesie (cheese puff), squishes like a cheesie. I took a little nibble, bland with a little salty taste to it. but the exact same texture and it dissolved like a cheesie... :D
Got me to thinking, throw it in a bag, add some cheese flavouring, shakey, shakey, pour out into a bowl and presto! Snacks for my guests! ;) Anyone want to come over for some Egg Nog.?

Edible until your colon explodes in a white poofy splat.

Now, did it just "appear" edible? Or was there a note stating as much? I mean, a LOT of things appear edible - rat poison, anti-freeze, wood chips, but simply are not. :D
Be honest, were you just really hungry?

Their just biodegradable packing, that is made to break down easily with water.
They are pretty much cheese puffs without the cheese. I used to work in shipping, and we used em all the time. I have eaten plenty of em, though I never did try and add any cheese to em. :)

I dunno ::) , thats why I'm asking you guys.
I guess this thread *is* in the form of a question. Funny that you just ate it anyhow...without knowing. Heh.

I'm a risk taker I tells ya, a risk taker!

Hey, that brown thing I found in the toilet... check if it is edible.
-
Some hippy company used to use popcorn to pack. They told you to throw it out in the grass so birds could eat it.
I used to coat it in PVC and throw it in the trash. More for the landfill.
I THINK cheesey puffs are puffed up corn, with little to no taste before the "cheese" is sprayed on.
Get your phone, dial 9-1, eat away, and keep your finger on that 1 button.

I believe the white ones like that are corn starch and as far as I know are the only ones that are edible.
That being said I wouldn't eat it.
-
Oh yeah, they probably keep them in a dirty bag in a dirty warehouse until they put them in your box.
Eat away!

Throw them on your neighbor's dog and then drench with water.
-
These have been around for at least 10 years now... if you get them slightly wet you can stick them together and make fun structures out of them. Also they are fun to watch disolve in water since they are just starch pellets.

It was a joke attempting to be serious ;) I only took a wee little nibble.
-
You said that about the 3/4 empty bottle of scotch.

If you put an Irish accent on this statement, Chad's Scotch bottle comment really starts to make sense.
On the "pellets"... I was involved in building a facility where they make those things. They also produce dog and cat food. I would refer to it as a "Grade C" facility. We grade by smell, and you can smell this one from 3 miles away :-X

That's why I said it... I heard it plain as day in my mother in law's Dublin accent... "I only took a wee nip" and the bottle is mostly empty.

Heh Heh! I'm actually 1/4 Irish!!! Think I'll be having a wee sip-o-beer tonight. Might be on later...

But I just found it odd, usually stuff is packaged in styrofoam, which is not salty, and does not melt in your mouth :o Environmentally friendly packaging material...
This implies that you taste ALL of the packing material in ALL the packages you receive. Makes me glad I haven't visited Canada yet. Something appears to be in the water up there that makes you guys talk funny and snack on packing material.
If you were full Irish and your wife was too, I could understand, what with all the horrible food they consider "delishuss"
-
Hey, we're not ALL eating packing material up here! In fact, since this was a "'nother day, 'nother $5000" day, I had prime rib - medium rare. Just thought you'd like to know :)
Oh Lord may this real estate boom never end! :)

I got a gift of the Wayagu (or however the hell you spell it) Kobe. Man, it's just UN-FRIGGEN-BELIEVABLE how good it was!
I'm gonna order some of the filet's for New Year's.
Daddy like!

Kobe Sauce...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Take the Kobe sauce, marinate those Kobe steaks from Allen Brothers in it for 8 hours, grill and serve. Heaven!
Drew, see if you can find this sauce in your neck of the woods. Good with seafood (shrimps) as well...

Who manufactures it? There's a few gourmet-type grocers that'll special order stuff but I gotta know who makes it.
That Cognac Pumpkin Cheesecake looks so friggen good too! I found a recipe for it and I think I'll give it a go sometime soon. Oh, and if anyone's feeling like replying about how they hate pumpkin, stick it in your piehole and shutty. Let a guy drool over some treats once in a while, wouldja? ;)
