Title: Vector question?

Well I am fairly new to the arcade building community and I was wondering why vector artwork is better than a normal jpeg for marquess and such. I know what a vector image is I just want to know if they look better on arcades, and will places like mamemarquees.com only print vector art??? Thanks.
