I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy a Golden Tee Fore PCB kit.

If you have the multisync that does 15-38Khz, it should be OK.   CGA res is 15Khz, and Medium Res (EGA) is 25Khz.

Okay, I just got my Golden Tee fore 2005 PCB and it does work with the Betson Multisync 27"  The monitor chassis has a six pin connector (just like a CGA monitor) where you plug in the R,G,B,Ground,Sync lines.

If someone were wanting to buy a monitor to use with a Golden Tee board, then IMHO this would be a better solution than an EGA-only monitor as you can always use the Multisync later on for anything else you want.
