I'm using MAMEV.97 and the latest version of MAMEWAH.
I have options for skipping the disclaimers, and game info set to 1 (to skip them).
I also have the option set, so it doesn't use bezel artwork.
The problem I'm having is that when I use MAME32, everything is fine, but when I use MAMEWAH and the commandline version of MAME, I sometimes get the disclaimers and in some games (Centipede comes to mind), the bezel shows up...
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?? I guess what I'm asking is...is there a common mistake that I am making, something that people have seen before?
Thank you.

Have you set up your \mame\mame.ini file??

Have you set up your \mame\mame.ini file??
I have the mame config setup in MAMEWAH, I think everything is correct, I've created some gamel lists and all seems well, other than just these option not doing what I want. Is there something I can do in the MAMEWAH config for these?

Your problem is with MAME, not MAMEWAH. They are two different programs that do two different things.
Like Minwah said, do you have a mame.ini file in your command line MAME directory?
Have you set that file up?
And to answer your other question, IMO, this is a common mistake for most people. For some reason people think that if they configure MAMEWAH that it somehow configures MAME.

Let's worry about the bezel thing first as some disclaimers can't be skipped as easily.
Run MAME from the command line. Does the bezel show?
Also, post your mame.ini file so we can check it out.

What is the difference between the different artwork options:
Artwork - controls all artwork...either on or off
Correct.
Backdrops - what part is the backdrop?

Don't forget there's another option called "artwork crop" or something like that. That tells MAME whether to display the entire bezel or not. If it does, it shrinks the monitor area so everything fits. If you crop it, then your main monitor area is fullscreen and the bezel all around it is cropped out.
That's awesome...thanks for the info...
When you tell mame to cropthe artwork, does that mean it will crop portions of something, like the bezel, away?

I did a search for 'artwork crop' and came up with info about MAME32 having that option, but do you know what the command line is. And whether or not that option is available in earlier builds? In the past I ended up doing some kind of editing of the artwork files to do something similar.

Check the MAME.CFG file.
Crop is available in 0.78 but not in 0.56
It does what you think. Cuts out the bezel so that your main game screen can take up full screen (if possible).

I like the way it crops the artwork. Is this a feature of Advancemame only??
