Would be funnier if you used the shifter as the joystick.
That has to be one of the retail home use PCBs, yes?
-
I bet it is one of those Jakks pacific all in one joys hacked. Its still funny to see it in that cabinet.
-
Jakks. I just made one of these but with the namco jakks. It's actually a really fast cheap solution. I recommend it.
-
The listing SAYS it's Jakks hardware. Man, this is too ghetto. I know Pole POsition boards are rare and break down too easily, but at least turn this into a proper DRIVING cab. Sheesh.
-
I would love to see how they interfaced that steering wheel with the board, and how accurate that works.
Is the PP wheel optical or pot based? I have to imagine the Jakks board is a pot.

did you use a full size cab or make a bar top....
I'm planing on making a bartop for mine when I eventually get around to it.

So, that fundamentally changes gameplay, since you have to recenter the wheel in order to stop turning with a pot.
With an encoder, anywhere you stop the wheel stops the turn.

Saddest part is it looks like somebody gave $460.00 for this rag.
