Title: [Case modding] LCD display for CD-Rom or 3,5 disk slot...
Post by: Harakiri on October 08, 2005, 05:33:05 pm
Well, i'm pretending to build one of those to my PC but i can't get exact info about it.

I'm sure that among everyone here, someone has a neat dynamic LCD display.

I could buy one but they are quite expensive and i'm sure that a homemade one would do just fine for me... :)

Please reply, i really want one of those. :)

Thanks in advance, i'll be waiting for someting!

what exactly do u want? u want one to pop out of the cdrom spot? or u want it to be covering the 2 3.6" slots for the lcd?

Or do u want a serial LCD for winamp and temps etc in the diskdrive slot?

for lcd's I would suggest you have a look at www.lcdstudio.com  (http://www.lcdstudio.com) it is by far the best software around at the minute with the new 2.0 version, (the older 1.5 version has support for the character lcds and graphic lcd's, the newer 2.0 only has support for graphic lcds)

I suppose I am biased towards this software as I have been involved as alpha / beta tester for a couple of years now (yes I post on there as Jess-- aswell)
