"Dragon's Lair 3D is an entirely new, built-from-the-ground-up, three-dimensional version of the 1980s coin-op phenomenon. While it stays true to the design and storyline of the arcade game, it offers a massive 3D experience unlike anything else Dragon's Lair fans have played before along with unexpected twists for a whole new adventure.
Take full control over Dirk the Daring for the first time. Make him jump, run, roll, climb, swing, and somersault.
Explore 43 huge areas and over 250 rooms
Battle over 30 kinds of enemies, including over a dozen new creatures designed by Don Bluth
Choose and collect new items, weapons, and potions along the way
Other features include:
Brand-new intro and ending movies
Technically innovative and amazingly fluid animation with a unique, cel-shaded look
Original 60-minute musical score

Yep, we've know about it for years.
Man, I need to go rent the ps2 version sometime.
It's actually one of the first uses of cel shading, just took them sometime to bring it out. It's a good use of cel shading, not just a fad use of cel shading.

You see the problem with that game is... well it sucks.
The cell shading is done very well, but unfortuantely having a 2d character walking in a 3d world means bumping into things and mis-judging ledges. Also did I mention that the backgrounds are bland and farily ugly? Also poor dirk is even more unresponsive than on the laser disc game. So basically they took the worst of dragon's lair, the worst of 3d gameplay and made it into an overall sucky game.
Stick to the classics, this one is a looser. :(

Gee, I don't know how you feel Howard! Oh well, I've never even played the original, so what do I care ;D

(It's a loser not a looser)
But Howard is right. I bought it the day it came out, played it for an hour, had it on Ebay the next day. This dog has big fleas.

The extra "o" was to emphasize how bad it stunk, but thank you for playing the part of my third grade english teacher. :P

Actually the graphics may be "loose" from what I'm hearing :P

True... it feels like he is either stuck in tar or slipping on ice all of the time.
