Title: Ultimarc XBOX video adaptor probs
Post by: unicron on September 26, 2005, 05:44:10 pm
Hi guys, I bought an XBOX video to jpac adaptor from andy over at ultimarc, and it doesn't work right. The picture starts shuddering more and more over time (10 - 15 mins) and eventually the game becomes unplayable. I don't have the controls wired yet so I figured I'd just plug it into my jpac and play it with a regular controller untill I get an XBOX controller to hack.

Andy says
"You would really need to hook up the J-PAC to the X-Box otherwise there
would be no grounding of the X-Box which would cause this problem."

"Hi,

I would think that the problem is a voltage build up on the X-BOX itself. Do
you have a control adaptor connected to it as well as the AV adaptor? This
would provide a ground provided the ground wire on the controls is connected
to a grounding point. I would need to know more about your control setup to
be able to help."

So basically Andy says I need to ground my xbox or his adapter won't work.

How the hell do I ground my xbox?

Thanks guys,
 Unicron

I'm not really sure...but I would just ask Andy again, I'm sure he'll help you out.
