For some reason catver has shopped working. I can no longer see filters when generating a games list, and the text display on the screen which used to list the catver values is now blank.
It has worked for many months, and suddenly stopped. I have not touched my main MAME settings, or catver, I have just been adding some new games menus.
The log shows the following errors
24/09/2005 13:35:01 CMD.EXE /c E:\Mame32\mame.exe -listxml|xml2info > E:\mamewah\MAME.dat
24/09/2005 13:35:29 Error 53 File not found in EMU_GenerateFilters
24/09/2005 13:35:29 CMD.EXE /c E:\Mame32\mame.exe -listfull > E:\Mame32\listfull
I have tried all sorts of things to get it back without any luck. It is somewhat bizare.
In the above logs, I believe the fist time stamp is when start to generate the list (why no filter options?), and the second timestamp is when the list completes (and successfully lists all mame games). As I said, I do not believe I have changed the main settings or catver settings or directories.
Have I hit some kind of limitation with Mamewah.
Any advice would be appreciated - -thanks

Not sure what is causing this, but try deleting the contents of your \files folder. Note this will wipe your games lists so keep a backup of any custom lists and try adding them back after generating the main list.

Thanks for responding. I tried deleting the /files contents and regenerating but still have the same problem.
I have several MAME menus, MAME-main, MAME-sportgames, MAME-gungames, selectable with the 2 coin button.
None of them now work with catver. I have deleted the catver file ref in the.ini files but they still generate the error message, so maybe I am barking up the wrong tree.
Everything else works!

Is it possible to filter lists by game type?
Shooter, puzzle, sports, etc?

Ooops. Mah bad yet again. I apparently "lost" my catver.ini file and I had to re-download it then re-generate my game lists in Mamewah. Now all is goode!
