The DS looks like it took a simular path they seem to be taking with the Revolution now... providing new ways to play games but keeping the graphics and specs at a minimum, so i was thinking to myself, they say their new console will be able to play ALL gamecube games and we still have no insight on its System specs....
What if they havent revealed it because they are providing new way of entertainment with simular gamecube hardware? (making gamecubes games play flawlessly) maybe at E3 the revoultion was nothing but a rev'd up gamecube would it matter?
it makes you wonder.... :-\

Don't get me wrong, I"m all about gameplay. But I will be irritated if my games don't look any better on Revolution than they did four years ago on Gamecube. I can forgive them for not going all out with the fastest and most expensive tech out there like Sony and MS, but it better be significantly better than Gamecube.
Of course, we know it will be. IBM and ATI are making new chips. If it wasn't going to be any faster they would simply use the chips they've already got and sell the thing for peanuts. Also, as far as I know the Gamecube chip doesn't use the PowerPC architecture. It is an IBM chip, though, so I could be wrong.

'Cube CPU is a custom PowerPC.
Was also the first 64-bit PPC chip.

nintnendo stated that the revolution would be 4-5 times more powerfull than teh gamecube...its just not a big a step up as the xbox adn ps3 are taking.
If i had to guess, the xbox\ps3 will be betting on a lang term solution, a 6-10 generation while i can see nintendo releasing a new system a good 2 years before they release their next systems

I think we can count on a completely new and superior system. If it were just a Gamecube revision they'd be calling it the Gamecube Advance or some such. Nintendo would be shooting themselves in the foot only selling a GC revision when Sony & Microsoft have brand new systems coming out.
