Okay,
My twin boys just turned 4 and they are little StarWars geeks already.
I've been on a little e-bay kick over the last two weeks and picked
up a ton of StarWars stuff for them to play with.
(Cause the classic stuff just isn't made anymore)
and... Mainly because Dad won't let them touch his VERY EXTENSIVE
collection.

Give them the new one.
Makes sense from a financial perspective, as your old one (with box) is worth a lot more than the new one.
Makes sense from a fun perspective. The new one looks cooler.
-
I bought one of the new ones for my kid and it seems like the construction is "cheaper" than what I remembered as a kid. Do you see the same thing, or is my memory off?
-
Well you did say you had twins and i see two Millenium Falcons.

Not really..open boxed, loose vintage ships sell for the same price as the
newer stuff, maybe we are talking a difference of $10-$15? plus I have a few broken parts on the old one (entry ramp,
stickers falling off, etc)

I just imagined the twins ramming them into each other, rather than arguing over who got the "good" one.
But, another point for the new one, they will see the new one as the "good" one, let them have the good one, and let daddy have the "bad" one.
Also, I am gonna predict that in the longterm the older one will be worth more. Every collector around likely has a new one still in box.

I'd keep them both, but I'm a selfish daisy, so it's probably for the best that I don't have kids.

Give the kids the better one, whichever that one may be.
It is a toy. They are children. Let the children play with the toy.
-
No, no! Toys are not meant for children. They are meant to be displayed and cherished. Where did you get such a ridiculous notion? ;)

Displayed in their original wrapping I hope.
-
Well, if he insists on keeping both, then he could just buy a third for the kids. Unless he would just want to keep that one from them, too.
-
Best to just give them a rock and a stick. That was good enough when we were kids wasn't it? ;)

Send them both to me & I'll help you decide what to do...

AHAHAHAHA that send me your stuff free post never gets old.
