The text needs to "pop" a bit more.

I agree with Motorfish.  The font looks good.  You might try a yellow or white outer and inner glow to the font.  Both yellow and white look good with backlighting.

I really like the background, the characters, and the font, but I'm not a fan of the text. It's a really good looking composition.

Hey Guys,
 Thanks for the advice.  Keep it coming.  I'll make a few adjustments tonight and upload new images.   I agree that the text needs to pop a bit more.  As for the the text itself: a friend and I really like street fighter and play it against each other calling it the Ken Ryu challenge because those are our two favorite characters that we use.  So its kind of a personal thing.  However, I am open to suggestions for an alternate title.

 The font itself is the Killer Instinct font because its going in a KI2 cabinet.  Maybe I'll try to golden it up a bit to pop it (the KI2 text is like burnt gold).

 Thanks in advance for the advice.  Look forward to hearing more.

So I've made a few adjustments and I think this is the final product.  Let me know what you guys think.  I've also added some front artwork which will be displayed infront of the cpo.  Thanks for the advice/suggestions.

Maybe round the edges of the shadows that go behind the buttons on the CP and apply a bevel on it in the same fashion as on the writing, it just looks a bit sharp and flat with those square edges I think.

Thanks guys for all the tips.  I ended up adding a bevel to the lettering (as ginno suggested).  It looks much better.

I printed the marquee at Kinkos and am pretty happy with it.  Here are some pics.  Let me know what you think.  My buddy and I were just playing some street fighter on it and its great with the new artwork.
