I want to hire my brother to create a DB and user interface for a project at work.

We have a guy that comes in and does some work on an Access DB at our work and he charges $95 an hour. That is for making new menu items and fixing any mistakes we make that mess up the DB. I would say about $75-$125 is fair for programming depending on wages in your area. (I am in MN if that helps any)

Jebus! I need to get back into consulting...
I'm currently working on a new Access DB and front-end and I'm only getting my normal Gov't wage for it. *sniff*.

Yeah....when I do outside network consulting I charge about 4-5 times my hourly wage at my normal day job. If I were in a big city I'd charge even more (although it would still probably only be 4-5 times my wage because I'd have a higher salary in a big city.
