Title: Williams Pin Problem - Please Help!
Post by: SirPeale on September 01, 2005, 05:55:18 pm
We have a 'Funhouse' pin that came off location.  The flashers aren't working, but I think I narrowed it down to BR2, so that's no biggie.

When I plugged the power board back in, however, I get no lights or solenoids.  And I mean *no* lights, not even GI.

I didn't *do* anything, other than meter the bridge rectifier to see if it was blown, so I have no clue how this could have happened.  All I did was unscrew the power board so I could see the leads of the BR.

Any ideas?

Isn't BR2 for the +5 volt logic?

Funhouse, like most Williams pins suffers from burnt connector pins so look at the connectors.

Oops, yup...don't have the machine in front of me, it's BR4.  Faulty memory.

Which would be a good assumption, had it not been working just fine ten minutes before.  *And* the connectors are fine.

Found the problem when I went in this AM.  The power board wasn't plugged into the main board, so of *course* nothing was happening.  It was plugged in on the power board side, but not on the main board.  Didn't even think to look off the board I was working on.

Hate it when that happens.  Glad to see it was manual error.  Get that sucker back on location.  I wish there were pins on location in my area.
