Hey my wife was giving me some crap for sitting in bed with my laptop positioned right over my crotch. She noticed that after an hour or two of working my jewels were smoking hot. She said that if I keep it up I would go sterile. I laughed it off at first, but but she was dead serious. It did get me thinking there is probally some truth to this. So I googled and sure enough came up with this.

Well I know what my reply would've been, but I'm not sure it's suitable for posting in public. ;) :D

I keep my laptop in my lap, but I make sure to work in a well ventilated area. A few degrees can kill sperm, but no true studies have been able confirm permanent effects. I did some research on the matter, myself, when I got my laptop. I don't have kids yet, but I'd like to someday. If nothing else, it's not good for the laptop. It has to be able to vent out the bottom. Otherwise, you risk overheating.
Here's some food for thought, though. Maybe you should be less worried about your laptop and more worried about your cell phone. People have already been talking about how magnetic radiation could potentially cause brain cancer. Well the genitals are much more susceptible to radiation than the brain because of the rapid cell production taking place. There's a much greater chance for mutation. How many of yall carry your cell phones in your pockets?

I have a GSM Wireless cellular network card in my laptop also!
You know you spend you entire life trying to keep those little guys out of harms way and here I find out I'm not only toasting em I seem to be doing the equivlent of sticking them in the microwave too....
