Title: How much is the US military being charged for gas in Iraq?
Post by: Crazy Cooter on August 18, 2005, 01:55:26 pm
I thought I read before that Haliburton had the contract and was charging $2 something a gallon??? Didn't we talk about that before?

Please explain the part where you somehow read the same story at that link and seem to be trying to equate drivers in Iraq paying a nickel a gallon and the U.S. military.

I ask, because the insurgents are mentioned numerous times as causing the Iraq government problems with their attacks.....you know, middle easterners against middle easterners....and the story is about Halliburton ::)

I thought Haliburton was selling gas to the military in Iraq under contract for ~$2 a gallon.  Right?  I thought we had confirmed that somewhere before when discussing them.

I was just wondering if that contract is still going?  Or are we now "self serve" and paying $0.05 a gallon?  It's a heck of a markup if Haliburton is doing "full serve" for $1.95 a gallon.

So my question is... How much are we paying for gas there?  The link says gas is available for $0.05...

::)
Don't make me pull out my spork.
