Hi,
Are there any ArcadeOS experts out there? I am in testing phase of our new ArcadeVGA card and have one issue with AOS. The new card will have approx 25 custom resolutions built in, which cater for all MAME games. the problem is, how to get these to appear as choices in the ArcadeOS menu? I was disappointed to see that AOS does not appear to query the card to get a mode list, and the list of resolutions that can be chosen seems pretty arbitrary and limited. Does anyone know where this choice list comes from? Is it hard-coded in? If so, how easy is it to change it and add all the modes for the new card?

I gave up with Arcadeos because of this myself. If you bring up the menu for customization for resolution for the specific game it never comes out right or even at all. Advmenu/Advmame was the only way I could get this to work right. However, if you run in Arcadeos Dos Shell and run Mame via the command line you can get it to work right.

Can send you the source of the latest version 2.5 if it would help you answer your question.

It's been a LOOONG time since I used aos, but I think all of the resolutions are hard-coded into it. I can't remember the site, but there is a tutorial on adding more modes to aos (I think, again this has been forever)
Does anybody have this link handy??

I know that Anthony (aka: LasVegas) was working on updating ArcadeOs. He might be able to help. His website is http://mame.how.to (http://mame.how.to)
