wow picture looks sharp! :o

edit: what stuff do you have to do to hook it up as TV set?

like sound etc... can you use remote control on that thing?

I didn't hook it up as a TV set, I put it in an empty TV set case. So it can just be set on top of the entertainment center like a normal set. It still doesn't have an audio capability.

Tommorrow (today actually), I will be attempting to find time to install it in the motorhome, if I really get to it then I should be able to get the monitor, computer, and control panel all installed, although I still need to come up with a GOOD way to do the control panel.

what are those movie/games on tv in picture #1 3 and 4?

the back of tv in pic 2 looks dangerous. someone could easily poke a finger in there and get shocked. are you going to do something about it?

unless you don't plan to leave it in that tv case.

Monitors aren't nearly as big of a shock hazard as people make them out to be, you have to rip the suction cup off the tube and stick your finger inside to get any REAL shock out of them.

I have been running decased monitors on my desk for years, without problems, an open hole in the back of that case is not a problem as far as I am concerned.

Picture one is from the attract mode of Reactor.

Picture 3 is "Total Recall"

Picture 4 is Lego Star Wars.

I think what they were asking is what method are you using to get a television type signal (the movie) onto the monitor.

DVD played from the computer at 640x480 I'm guessing.  It's a multisync monitor that accepts VGA resolutions at 640x480 (newer ones will go as high as 800x600).

Phase one of monitor install.

I opted to open up one of the closets, as the monitor was too big for a wall mount, and I would have lost a whole couch if I had tried to put it anywhere else.

I still have to put up a couple pieces of trim (and paint them) where I chopped out that wall.

As for the Mame control panel, it sits perfectly on that table and is the perfect height for gameplay. It will hang high up on the wall over one of the windows when not in use. I still need to put a non-slip surface on the bottom of it, and add hooks to hang it on the wall.

I also still need to run AC power to that closet (at the moment it has power to it, but it is 12 volt), and figure out where the computer is getting installed.

I haven't decided if I am going to remove that closet door, cut it down, or leave it like it is.

Well it is a motorhome, not a house, and I could rebuilt that closet in an hour for $10 if I wanted to.  ;D

Someday sooner or later you're going to confuse the hell out of a guest when they want to watch TV but they can't. Be sure you have your camera handy when that day comes.  ;D

Well there is ALSO a wall mounted TV back there, not visible in the picture.

I have actually never had the capability to watch "TV" in any place I have ever lived on my own (other than the brief couple months that I had free cable, which was used 3 times, none of them by me), don't have an antenna, and don't have cable.

Seems to me that LCDs are made for motorhomes.

....wow what a clever idea. Very cool. It's like a giant non portable laptop with a huge screen.

Great idea though!

Page.. i'm sure you are aware that you can get a TV tuner if you wish to watch TV..

But what I meant to ask was.. how do you enjoy your D9200?

Now he needs a motorized DirecTV dish, a DirecTivo, and a subscription to NFL Sunday Ticket.

Not for arcade games tho, Paige's got his priorities right  ;)
